Yes, that works. Looks like you likely added the link using the "link" button. Another way to do this is to just paste the link directly into the text editing field. It will then look like this:

KA Models Mazda K360
peteski replied to GeeBee's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
That is a cool little truck. So the engine is included but the hood is molded shut? Or does the entire cab tilt up (like on COE tractors)? -
Some crazy bidding on MPC One Arm Bandit!
peteski replied to peteski's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
While not all that different, they placed 127 bids on 36 auction listing, Like many who do not snipe, this bidder places multiple increment bids on the same auction. I miss the days when eBay was more open about allowing members to look at other member's histories. -

If that's the case that stinks for the seller - he can't even leave the non-payer negative feedback! BTW, does anybody know what happened with the molds for this kit? -
You mean the real, toxic stuff?

Some crazy bidding on MPC One Arm Bandit!

What's also weird about this one is that it is 2nd time it has been listed. The old listing shows it sold for $640! https://www.ebay.com/itm/254878211506 Even funnier is that the new listing is identical to the old one (including the photos). So this all seems fishy (or the seller has 2 identical kits?). -
Well, the info that is included with the battery, and other online info about AGM batteries, clearly indicates that they are much less tolerant of abuse. I like the fact that they don't ooze out sulfuric acid, which attacks the nearby metal surfaces.

LOL, Testors li'l square bottle PLA enamel paint?! That's as anti-exotic as you can get!. The truck "dehydrator" should get the paint nice and hard in few days. Just make sure not to clear it with something exotic. Looks good in yellow.

Kits with slotted wheels
peteski replied to SCRWDRVR's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Arii made a set of slotted shallow and deep disk rims with BFG tires. They show up on eBay from time to time. I was able to pick those up recently for a reasonable (to me) prices. -
Yeah, I do like those. But I also liked Centerline rims (and used them on my Camaro back in the day).

Lindberg 53 Crown Vic help
peteski replied to Bob Warfield's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Elmers (and other similar PVA) glues are not designed to hold parts with smooth surface. They adhere to rought surfaces, like paper. Epoxy would likely work, but cleaning any extra glue would be tought. I like the idea of of taping the area around where the trim goes, so any extra glue would end up on the tape. But you should find a way to scrape the metalization from the glued areas. Maybe place the parts upside down on some soft surface (like a hobby cutting mat), then gently scrape the "plating" with a hobby knife. -
Floquil used to make paint called Zinc Chromate. I still have couple bottles. It is medium orangey-brown!

Is there any way to have the forum software downsample the uploaded files automatically during upload? Another forum I frequent does that. And someone quoting a thread with dozen of large photos, just to reply with "Nice!" or "Good job!" really peeves me! Especially, is several people do that. My scroll wheel finger gets a lot of exercise. I guess smart phone users just swipe the screen.

Ah, that makes sense - I totally forgot COVID for a moment. So you aren't sure yet if the alternator is bad? No voltmeter gauge in that car? Did the "charge" idiot light come on? If alternator stops charging, there usually is some indication of it on the dash. But you're a "car guy" - you know that.

1907 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, 1/24 Finecast metal kit
peteski replied to Matt Bacon's topic in Model Cars
You did a great job on hand-painting the stripes on the suit! I'm really sorry that the forum used the photo of my Cobra model in that link to your build thread. I just wanted to show that spark plug wires are doable, even in 1:43 scale, when you were on the fence about adding them to your model. I would gladly go back and delete that photo, but I can't edit that post. I really don't know why that single photo was chosen, when dozen's of your photos dominate the thread. Weird! -

Looks great! How did you paint the fabric pattern on the drivers outfit? -
That sucks, but why a dead alternator would kill the car? Makes no sense. Those Crown Vics usually have pretty robust battery. Car will run on just the battery. You can't ride with a AAA driver in the tow truck cab? WTF? What good is that? Tow you car and leave you stranded on the highway or some street?!? I never had a problem ridding with the AAA tow truck drivers here in Mass.

Yuck!

I suspect that if you are willing to update the photos, if you were to contact the moderators, they would likely work out a solution with you. Nobody likes post with "broken" photos.

A Use For Those Holiday Popcorn Cans
peteski replied to Straightliner59's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
My friend who flies RC electric model airplanes stores the LiPo batteries in an ammo can (since they the batteries are sometimes known to catch on fire.). -
For info on small drill bits I highly recommend reading this thread.

Holly Toledo, that model looks like a 1:1 car! That's incredible.

Well, I had good luck with the BSI odorless CA not fogging clear parts. (of course it is more expensive than standard CA glue, and I know many are lookign for cheap solutions). Also, when the CA is quickly set with accelerator, there will not be any fogging. And another hint I heard is that dipping the clear parts in Future (or whatever that floor finihs is now called) will prevent any fogging. I have not tried that myself.
