I am interested in building a modern funny car or an Outlaw Fuel Altered. I expect to build up the body but i would like to find a good commercially available or discontinued kit to use as a starting point for the engine and chassis. Which kit(s) should I look for that have the most modern funny car engine and chassis? Thanks!

Glad to join. I built a lot of model cars when I was younger, and am now looking to get re-engaged in the hobby. I am mostly interested in racing cars, from the 60's through now. I look forward to learning a lot here!
