Thanks for the fast replies, I wasnt planning on using the clear as a primer. It was for going over the pearl red. I was wondering if you guys could recommend a nice mid-darker candy blue that can be used with airbrush. Im alittle disappointed in how pinkish the pearl red is. but it will work for my first car.

Hi, I picked up a 57 chevy model the other day and I decided if im going to do i want to do it right. I ordered a eclipse cs airbrush and a tc20t compressor. I had to go to hobby lobby and get the starter paashe airbrush since it is going to take a month for the cs to get here since i order on amazon and they didnt say it was comming from japan. But I also picked up testors aztek pearl red. I was wondering do I need primer? if so would rattle can krylon primer work. I also see alot of people use future as clear so after searching around town and no one had any. I read pledge floor finisher with the blue boots on it was the same as future and I cant find it also. This is the only one I can find is this the same as future?

Just wanted to say hi from the florida panhandle. Im getting back into building models. I built a few when i was around 12 but now that im 30 im sure they will look better.
