  1. Has anyone tried to get a non-warped hood from Moebius for the 72 Ford pickup?
  2. It will be perfect for people who have never seen a 56 Bel Air.
  3. I wonder why Revell can't combine the 55 Bel Air and 56 Del Ray and make a decent 56 Bel Air. That old Monogram 56 is a joke(and a bad one at that).
  4. Where did you get your gas pumps?
  5. The color is PERFECT for that car!
  6. I'll make it 7! I can't believe someone hasn't kitted this car yet.
  7. Stopped by today to get some knife blades, and no sale stuff left on the model aisle. I checked the clearance corner, and they had 2 Prowlers, and a Trojan Horse funny car for $6.29. I guess they aren't going to carry display cases anymore, because they had the last 3 on sale for $2.49 so I grabbed 2 of them.
  8. Krylon has a color called Bahama Sea that is nearly an exact match.
  9. Yeah, that's the same pattern I used over red paint. Mine came out white.
  10. I looked on Scale Motorsport website and the picture of the decal sheet, with the same code # doesn't look the same as the one that I have, so somebody screwed up somewhere. I put in a question about it on their site, so I'll wait and see if I get an answer.
  11. Steve, the ones that I used look exactly like the seats in your Ford pickup, except I applied them over red painted seats. I've had these decals for a long time, but just got around to trying them. The label on them says "Clear pattern decals designed to be placed over any painted seating surface creating a seat pattern to coordinate with any color scheme".
  12. I ended up using them anyway, and it actually turned out looking kind of cool with the white/plaid inserts on a red interior. They laid down good and conformed well to the seat pattern. I was just under the impression that they were all on transparent paper. I guess I was mistaken.
  13. So, I guess nobody has ever used these.
  14. I'm trying Scale Motorsport interior decals and I thought that the pattern is supposed to let the color show through, but mine are just white, with a plaid pattern. Do you apply these like regular decals, or is there a trick that I don't know about? What am I doing wrong???
  15. The reset seems to be done here. The only things new are a bunch of Maisto stuff, and other pre built, and diecasts that now occupy about a third of the model section. These are not just temporary fillers, the stickers on the shelves match what's there.
  16. I think AMT made a 69 with a 6cyl. If you could find one of those, you could put the 6 in a Revell 68.
  17. Went to HL today to see if they had anything new, and at least 2 dozen spots on the shelves, that used to have model kits on them, now are filled with diecasts. The spot where the diecasts were are now full of slot car stuff. Looks like the plastic kit section is shrinking fast.
  18. Leave it to Testors to discontinue a great color like this.
  19. I like that color too! Does anyone know if it was available in a spray can, or if it's even available at all any longer, I can't find it anywhere. Was it lacquer or enamel?
  20. Me too! I'd love to build the one I owned back in 75.
  21. I used to get pulled over in my Superbee all the time by these. A South Dakota State Trooper pulled me over just to look at my car, and then he popped his hood to show us his 440 Interceptor.
  22. Maisto has at least 3 1/24 Harleys that come built(I got 'em), and they look pretty good.
  23. The wheels in the Lindberg 61 Impala convertible are almost identical(I've already sent him a set).
  24. It looks fairly street legal, but you're going to get some noise complaints from the neighbors.
