  1. That's exactly what I'm saying. Those old Blazers, Broncos, Ramchargers, etc. were real SUVs, but these new heated leather seat, power moonroof, infotainment system luxury barges are not.
  2. Because the Jeep is really the only SUV. All the others are just "Soccer Mom" family transport vessels, and it is too hard to install child safety seats(or the little monsters they carry)in a 2 door vehicle.
  3. There's such a thread moving frenzy lately, they're bound to get a few wrong.
  4. Krylon has a color called Coral Isle that is really close.
  5. Picked up a Mountain Goat Jeep Today. I might try to kitbash it with the 75 Toyota pickup to make a lifted 4x4.
  6. I just got one of these, on clearance at Hobby Lobby, along with an MPC Mountain Goat Jeep. I'm thinking about using the Jeep suspension to make a lifted 4x4 Toyota. I might just use the frame and engine from the Jeep, the wheelbase looks identical.
  7. The Truck Stop section states that it's the place for "general truck talk", The Model Building Question section states that it is for " questions, answers, help, suggestions". Maybe you should be more specific about THAT! I'm done, that's the last thing I'll say on the subject.
  8. Yeah, I guess you're right. That other 95% of members probably aren't capable of answering my difficult question.
  9. Mine doesn't even change the shelf tags anymore.
  10. With the exception of Off Topic lounge, these are exactly the ones that I frequent. I sure don't see a lot of people heading to the Truck Stop, where my model building question was dumped from the Model Building Questions.
  11. I got one in a trade, with the hope of building a stock 71 Satellite, but it looks like more work than I want to do. I might be talked into a trade for something of equal value(I even bought a resin stock hood). PM if interested.
  12. They had 3 cans of Model Master Gray sandable lacquer primer marked down to $1.57. I bought them all for $4.99.
  13. How can a question about building a model, posted in "Model Building Questions" be in the wrong place? I was not asking about a Peterbilt, or a Kenworth(you know, the things that you find at a TRUCK STOP)I was asking about a Suburban! You moved my question from the right place to the wrong place, and now it will never be seen by the people who might have been able to help!
  14. Went back today and picked up another 66 Suburban(I really like this kit)and an MPC Datsun pickup(glad I didn't pay much for that one).
  15. Yeah, that's an argument if I ever heard one!
  16. I asked about 4x4 parts to convert a 66 Suburban. The description for this section says- have a specific question(I did)need help(I did)want suggestions(I do)looking for answers(yeah, that's why I ask questions). Seems like I've seen other truck related questions here, that weren't moved. So, now my question is in the Truck Stop section where most of the topics are about Big Rigs. Not being a Big Rig builder, I rarely even look at the Truck Stop section. Don't get me wrong, I think the Big Rig models are very cool, I just think most members are into 4 wheeled vehicles(like 66 Suburbans). Could someone please start an argument, I think the Mods might have too much time on their hands!
  17. That there is a moonshine runner if I ever seen one.
  18. Thinking about getting another 66 Suburban to do as a 4x4. Wondering where to find suspension parts to do this. Does anyone do a resin conversion for this kit, or is there a kit that would work. I don't want a drastic lift like the MPC Deserter pickup, but more of a stock 4x4 height.
  19. Hey Chris, that looks just like all the Pintos did about 6 months off the showroom floor!
  20. Finally got the markdowns here. I grabbed a 66 Fairlane, and a 57 300C, and a sm. display case. The cases they had on sale are for 1/32 models, but they will fit a lot of 1/25 cars too, and for $2.24 I might have to pick up a few more tomorrow.
  21. I don't have a pic, but I really like the 57 Olds 88 2 dr. hardtop, or convertible.
  22. Still nothing here, the shelves are loaded, but no yellow stickers.
