  1. I'm going to build a replica of a 69 GTX that a gearhead buddy from my teens drove. I'm wondering what kit has a good 383 with auto. trans. that would work in the AMT GTX kit. I know I can use the 440 in the kit, but still need an auto. trans. I'm thinking the 383 from the Lindburg 64 Dodge might work.
  2. No sanding, just clean and shoot light coats. The more coats, the darker the tint.
  3. It works amazing right out of the can.
  4. I tint windows with Tamiya smoke spray can shot from the inside, very light coats, til you get the darkness you want.
  5. If you don't want the stuff they are releasing, DON'T BUY EM. Some other guys might like the old reissues(me for instance), and will buy them. It's too bad that AMT and MPC doesn't form their product line around what you want, but if what you want is more 32 Fords, rather than a 65 Rivera or a 57 Chevy gasser, then I'm glad they don't.
  6. Yeah, I've had the kit since it came out, just never figured what that meant.
  7. No pics here.
  8. Just wondering, what does "Bent Eight" mean?
  9. What does a scale model car have to do with scale model cars? HMMMMM.
  10. Had this one as a kid(50+ years ago). Would love to have another, don't think it was ever used for anything else.
  11. Yeah, I've got the Model King Comet,(thanks Steve G,) and will definitely get the Imperial when it comes out, but what about the rest. Are any of the others a possibility?
  12. Marcos, now you're gonna have to build that black Charger to go along with it!
  13. I love these kits, I wonder if any of these molds still exist. I bet any of them would be good sellers.
  14. That's one BAAAD looking car. I love the 60s-70s stance. On the ground is for cars that go slow-in the air is for cars that go fast!
  15. That looks great, can't wait to get my hands on one of these. Looks like a good fit on the hood!
  16. Try 'em out Rob, real fast service, and cheap.
  17. Sales Shack is a good one with good prices.
  18. I have the Car Culture kit too. I really like this kit except the way the stock wheels fit in the whitewall inserts, something just don't look right to me. I'll probably use a different wheel/tire combo anyway, I never cared much for the stock 57 Chevy wheel covers. What's the best way to remove the ribs from the side trim without damaging the chrome around it?
  19. As nice as it is now, I know it will be another Masterpiece once you're done with it.
  20. Thanks guys, I guess I'll just use the buckets, at least the seats will match.
  21. It doesn't show up on his website.
  22. Does anybody do a bench seat for a 64 Impala?
  23. Looks good! What did you use for paint? I had a 65 GTO back in the 70s that was that color.
  24. I think the phone was just answered by the kid who cleans the bathrooms, and takes out the garbage.
