  1. cool. Do you have a link? I'd like to know what size they are.
  2. I looked at the Parts by Parks discs and the biggest are 1/25 16". So if I bought some 17s then I could use the 16" discs? Did I understand you right? I know it wouldn't be exact but close.
  3. Thanks. I'll give it more thought. For the spun aluminum I was just going to strip them and paint them flat silver. I figured that would be close enough.
  4. I'm trying to replicate this truck. It's the Ford Racing Technologies FR100. I can't find wheels like these anywhere. They are 18's. Also, if anyone would be willing to make those hood decals for me I would pay. Lol.
  5. I've read all the stickies and searched literally as much as I can think to, but I can't seem to find a detailed thread about how you guys start your kits. I guess it doesn't get discussed much because you all are beyond that. Lol. I'll keep searching. I mean I'm not completely inexperienced but I just want to see how everyone else is doing it. Do you aerosol engine parts before gluing or brush paint after? What to wash parts with and things like that. I'm just trying to get opinions on what the process should consist of. I'm working on the '53 Ford Pickup by AMT
  6. Hey everybody. I'm new here. Getting back into modeling after a long break and I want to get better. Can you all point me to some threads on the basics of modeling such as parts cleaning, painting parts (aerosol or brush), how to make parts square and line up properly? I'm struggling. Lol thanks.
  7. Just saying hello. I've been into models since I was a child (only 28 now) but I haven't built one in a while. My wife got me the 53 Ford Pickup by AMT for Christmas so I came here for help and advice. I have plenty of experience in 1:1 automotive paint and body so needless to say I love cars. I want my future models to look as realistic as possible. I'm not nearly as good as anyone here but I want to get better. Thanks for the wisdom you guys share. :)
