The Chevy hubcaps look great Bill, I will definitely order a few sets! A little clarification on application. That hubcap ( first example) was used from 1969 thru 1975 on 1/2 ton pickups and vans, base models came with the painted caps, higher trim or optional caps were stainless. In 1976, the higher trim vehicles got the newer flat aluminum ( second example) and was used on pickups up to 1987 and vans into the 90's. However the old style hubcap (first example) continued to be used from 1976 thru 1978 on base models. Thanks again for doing these correctly.

Nice that this kit is back. I'm working on one as well, trying to improve on the contour of the front fenders to resemble the photo on the side of the box. Planning on a fleet truck with more common steel wheels which are luckily available in the aftermarket.

Yes, these caps will also come in handy for converting MPC Dodge van model to a 1 ton 300 series. Higher trim pickups and vans came with stainless caps, base models came with painted argent silver caps.

Those are great choices since this trailer dates back way before the early 70's when most of the AMT kits were introduced. I believe the trailer dates back to the late 50's to very early 60's.

I'm in the process of building a LNT 9000 tractor with a Cat 3406, which requires some dog house work. The LNT 9000 was popular line haul fleet truck. The wheelbase seems just too short to build as a dump.

The larger fender version of the '56 F 750 thru F 900 is available from AITM. Tons of build possibilities for the wide fender heavies.

My next build will be a 2 axle Pete, but all Pete kits are 3 axle. Should I just use the rear drive axle or use a kit with a single drive axle? Which kit has the most accurate single drive axle? Is it a Eaton or Rockwell?

How about a '62 with a 262. Note 5 lug wheels which would indicate a C 550, the lowest end of the series.

Yes, the 61-66 Ford pickups went thru several changes during this run, most changes ever in a Ford pickup series, both 2wd and 4wd, which IMO, why AMT only offered the '61-'63 unibody pickup. Any other body style or year model would have required a lot of new tooling. The '66 is the only year the F 100 4x4 came in the same wheelbase and body styles of the F 100 2WD

Nice work! The paint job, longer frame and the full Alcoa treatment really set the tone for a super nice custom highway hauler.

Great build, very realistic looking fleet truck. I was holding out for the longbed styleside, but this one might change my mind.

Build was to represent a West Coast mid 60's Pete cabover. A very nice resin cab was located on ebay, then added features typically found on the West Coast in the mid 60's. 5 Hole Alcoa aluminum front wheels with center point front axle, steel Budds on the rear, 250 6 cylinder Cummins and longer frame. Color is metallic maroon.
