happens with me all the time....my current doldrums has been going on for about 2 years...i'll get some inspiration to build here and there, but I never get really far. I can attribute some of it to having a child and a wife who doesn't support my model car hobby

That is a sad story. On one hand this guy has bad health and has to sell a stash of rare items. On the other one, lots of guys who would appreciate this little fortune bit by bit can't reach any of it unless they take the whole thing. So, instead of that, some "salesman" is probably going to buy the whole lot and sell them one by one on Evilbay and make a ton of money out of this. Don't get me wrong, 1500$ is a great deal for these kits, but I don't have that kind of money to buy the whole lot. I know for one that the Cat D8H Bulldozer, the lowboy trailer, the dumper trailer, the John Deere Backhoe, the Transtar and the Payhauler dump truck (probably more) would have interested me...
yep..you said it right there...
He was flakey on facebook so I gave up on getting one of those transtar 2's for 25 bucks...plus shipping..
Oh well..we will see em on ebay soon with super doooper inflated prices..

Excellent job on the engine bay...I say cast that up too...lol
i'm checking in everyday to look at this...great stuff!

how about the amt 68 chev elcamino fuel injected big block. it could be done up to look like a 502!
I've actually thought of that since I do have one of those languishing in a box, I was going to use the efi big block out of the 67 396 SS then pop a supercharger on it...not a lot of room..might just go with the elky engine though..

to me: not nearly enough
to my wife: way too many

Gray,
I am on the Southside, Ballantyne area. Our mail delivery leaves a lot to be desired. On Saturday they had 2 different trucks running in our neighborhood, both delivering junk mail! Good thing postage went up today, they can justify the two trucks now!
lol, yeah I won a hotwheels vehicle off of ebay around christmas time and it hit the Charlotte dist. center and stayed there for 2 weeks....
anyway, good to know a fellow modeller around the queen city...if you ever want to get together for a build and bull let me know...
-
as a person who got first hand experience with installations of both the greddy oil pan and the intake, you hit them DEAD ON...color me extremely impressed
yeah, go ahead and put me down for 4 of these when you get the molds made.....i've got so many things they could be used in...shoot I'll build one and detail it out just to put on a motor stand...lol

That is funny because my November issue showed up about 10 days ago. It was reported in our newspaper that the USPS has changed the way our mail is sorted here in Charlotte and there have been delays in dated mail being delivered. Just last week I got a notice from Sears for a big Craftsman Club sale and I was excited until I saw it was for Dec 18 thru Dec 24!
Not much I can do about when the USPS delivers the mail, just hope that it arrives in decent condition!
MIke, I've wondered about this...I subscribe to cafe racer magazine and my issue #18 was missed, or so I thought....so I got in touch with the magazine and they sent me another issue....turns out the replacement issue got to my house 2 days before my regular issue...lol
Where in Charlotte do you live? I'm on the Northlake side

Thanks guys!
They are aoshima advan rs-somethings..lol I think they are in the 19" wheel line, stripped of chrome and sprayed white. These are also flat rims, the nice deep lips come from other aoshima rims that have sep. lips on them. There was a very long process of deciding which ones to put on this kit...these won out.
I'll try and muster some motivation to finish this one...it's actually pretty close...if I don't include and engine (which i'm almost at the decision)

here is mine in progress...stalled out on motor choice. Stance shown is close to what it will be when done..

Jimmy...can you show me a picture of the valve you are questioning? If it's what I think it is, it's pcv related...
oh and this looks great! I look forward to possibly picking one of these up :-)

Looks good Vince...but what really caught my eye was your avatar...not too many people around here are fans of the s13 silvia...I fell so in love with them I bought a 240sx years ago and put the jdm spec front end on it...
Props to you

Had no idea what this project was...glad I stopped in to see...also, the wheels look great!! glad I could help you out cause I know those wheels would have languished in a box for years and years til they MIGHT have been used..lol
I'll be checking in on this again..

excellent! now I gotta go buy another one...shouldn't have sold the one I had years ago...great work on the bumper, that was the biggest gripe I had with the kit and when I had it, my skills weren't enough to do such surgery...willing to do it now though..

line-o-tape...end of story...he's a great guy to deal with too...

Living in Charlotte, NC and having 2 major shipping highways intersect (I85 and I77).....AND being the home of many Nascar teams....I've seen about 10 mostly in the past few months

and here is me doing what I enjoy on my second X1

I watch Spongebob and Fairly Oddparents with my little one. I like pretty much all cartoons though, I'm digging on transformers prime and gi joe renegades, Anime is also a favorite. check out Gurren Lagaan, that and initial d (duh) are my fav's

I haven't had much time to play, and I don't have a ton of cars, but here are my 2 favorites...
i'm SO happy they put the 240sx hatch in here...this is pretty much a replica of one of the stages of the one I owned from 2000-2005
and here is my Nova...a gift for hitting one of the driver levels...I like mine with a little streetfighter flair
I have to say..turn 10 did a good job, they've made the game so much more enjoyable, and the features they've added has really made it worth the price of entry

I was planning to pick it up this week, but figured i'd just get the base version. Well I was talking to the wife and told her the lce was 20 bucks more...she gave me the "if it was me, i'd pay the extra 20 bucks" lol.
Called around to several best buys and one had only 2 left.... I played about an hour last night, nice surprises with quite a few cars...
my gamertag is Dezmodromic if anyone wishes to add me.

Gray
edit: let me also say that it's good to see a proper pro-touring build again, not many do them anymore. This one has streetfighter written all over it...my favorite style too!

wow, that's pretty...mind if I ask what the main body color is?

Brandon, looks great dude!
I'm a long time fan of imports myself, and being a previous owner of a fixed up 240sx hatch (long list of mods, owned from 2000-2006) I always enjoy a well done build of one.
Keep up the great work my friend. Where about in NC do you live?
