Sorry to hear about the fall, Al. That's bad stuff. But, if it's any consolation, that F350 is beautiful! -

Those slicks are . . . slick! -
Will the HDACDC bike start up with a low-order explosion that rattles the neighbors' windows and P-Os their dogs, or will it be nothing like a Harley at all? Will the riders be 'gang-switch bikers'? Will they relegate the new 'lectric choppers to their Ohms Ladies? Will they have a TV series called 'Sons of Alternating Circuits'? Bored, inquiring minds want to know . . .

Dittos. There can NEVER be too many resin or photoetch emergency vehicle components and accessories, as long as they are done RIGHT and IN SCALE. Wish you well in your endeavor. If I only had a buck for everybody that has set out to do the 70's-80's Mopar police wheels and caps in 1/25 scale, I'd have a small fortune. Sadly, no one has gotten them right yet. Good luck!! I'll be watching and warming up my ordering muscles if you get 'er done!

I concur with Harry and Charlie and everyone else who bemoans the "trendy" Euro-alphabet soup nomenclature practice. Domestic manufacturers abandoned the character of their products when they went with the ABC-school. The real problem with it all is that there is no character or heritage like there was before cars became Starbucks. Imagine the loss of provenance if Chevy decided to call its Corvette something trendy like "SCT." Sell more? I don't think so. (Unless they renamed it "SEX.") Like Harry, I think even existing products would have more appeal to more buyers if they were differentiated from all the AQSTCHVLs available at all the other dealerships.

Not true at all. ACA will have everything to do with everything. To ignore that and pretend otherwise is to ignore basic economic principles (with or without 'political' inferences, it doesn't matter). To believe otherwise requires continual Kool-Aid consumption and 'suspension of disbelief.' NOT a political statement, a factual statement.

Wow! Looks great, Chris. Nice save. -
The kind of issues you're having with Enterprise would have to be dealt with via the shopping center property management people. It's a civil matter. All tenants have equal access to and right of use of the common areas, unless spelled out differently in tenant leases. A parking dispute in a private parking lot is not criminal and won't be dealt with by police . . . unless it is unlawful use of handicapped spaces. Your store management should prevail upon the center management to get Enterprise to park their stock in designated areas, not randomly in areas that interfere with adjoining tenants. The customers returning cars? Enterprise can tell them where to park returns after hours, but if they don't, there's nothing Enterprise or other tenants can do. But if Enterprise is causing so many problems for adjoining tenants, the property managers should straighten it out. It might be handled on another level, if the property management people don't . . . most Enterprise locations are franchised ~ just like HTU ~ so a well-placed complaint to Enterprise Corporate might straighten up an errant franchisee. One other note ~ Yes, it sure is tempting to go moving vehicles around, whether with a tow rope or a wrecker, but DON'T. It's some level or another of theft, vehicle theft, or joy-riding depending on your jurisdiction. So reacting to Enterprise's private parking transgressions by committing a crime ~ even a minor one ~ would not be the smartest move. Kinda like reacting to a neighbor's barking dog by poisoning it. A little overkill, and the 'poisoner' ends up in jail, not the dog. But I know you knew that, Joe.

Nice project. But, . . . Trumpeter? Only the American LaFrance . . . when it comes to their automotive subjects.

Correctamundo. Pretty much a nutshell version, but good enough for the girls we go with. Add vaporization, containment, and compression, and then you have the conditions necessary for that (internal) combustion. The real 'money' difference between volatile ignitable liquids and flammable liquids and combustible liquids is not so much their flashpoints or ignition temperatures but their rate of oxidation (or burning, or combustion). In basic terms, gasoline vaporizes more readily and ignites much easier than kerosene or diesel fuel, but they all vaporize and reach an ignition temperature sufficient to produce self-sustaining combustion. Gasoline also combusts faster and generates more heat (calories) and light (lumens) than the others, but they all burn. -

With a flashpoint of 105 degrees F, it is a Class II Combustible Liquid. Flammables have a flashpoint of over 73degrees F. Gasoline is a volatile ignitable liquid and its flashpoint is anything above -38 degrees F. You can readily see why gasoline is more dangerous to deal with than flammables or combustibles. -

It sounds like kerosene, a Class II combustible liquid.
