  15. Thanks, Charlie. Very nice comments that are well appreciated. I have to confess, the radiused wheel wells were a direct result of the influence of Darryl Starbird. At the time I built the 1:1, I had been participating in his Custom Auto Shows for a number of years, hanging around him and Eldon Titus and Jerry Titus entering Starbird's model car contests. I was ga-ga over the simple method Starbird employed to build gorgeous custom cars, and I couldn't wait to apply what I had learned from watching him work in his shop at Star Kustoms. Electrical conduit, flat sheet metal, a welder and some body filler and I was Starbird and my Studebaker was the Predicta! hung around
