  1. Terrific work, John! It looks great. I gotta admit, I was almost afraid to open this thread! Didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised!
  2. Aaarrrgggh! Caught by the Mirror Police! Yikes. Actually, the 1:1 had chrome, European-style bullet racing mirrors. I think they called them 'sport mirrors.' I just didn't have any when I assembled the model, but I always planned to find some and install them. I meant to! Honest, Judge, I meant to do the right thing! I promise to do better next time. Ah, well. Guilty. I'll pay the fine. {Thanks for the otherwise kind comment! }
  3. Thank you, Jeremy. Glad you like her.
  4. Thank you, Niko. Very glad you like the model. Your comments also validate the styling and customizing ideas of the 1:1, which I built over 45 years ago! Guess I struck some timeless chords with that one! Very nice to think it worked that well. Thank you very much. Thanks, Larry!
  5. Wow. How did I miss this before? Beautiful concept, beautiful execution - makes it look so real!
  6. Uh huh, uh huh! Glad you like her, bro. Wish we could go crusin' in her. She was my first Showgurl!
  7. Thank you, Stan!
  8. Looking good, G!
  9. Mmmmmm-mmmmmmmmmmmm!
  10. Phil said it! You did a great job with a marginal kit, Al.
  11. Drink up, folks! Harry the Comic is appearing all week!
  12. Yepper. That's why I miss her. What a hoot she was! Thanks for your kind comments.
  13. Thanks, Rich! I really appreciate your comments, seeing as how you're kinda like the King of the 50's!!
  14. Glad it brought back pleasant memories, Doug!
  15. You bet, Jeff! Hey, if you can't finish it in the big time, why not finish it off in scale? You know, that's in keeping with the whole 'promo' idea back in the day: Model it in scale to show what it would look like in 1:1. Thanks for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed it.
  16. Most excellent!!!
  17. I like that too, Pete. But I wasn't sure I could get away with mentioning it!
  18. Better too little than too far overboard, I always say.
  19. What Mark said is very true of most 60's paints when compared to today's paints. You know, there's been a lot of progress in those 50 years!
  20. No prob, Dave. Drop in when you can, you are always welcome! We just appreciate ~ to no end ~ your efforts and your candid willingness to share info when you can. It's refreshing! Best to you . . .
  21. Thanks, Robert. I'm with you, man. REALLY neat cars, aren't they?
