Here’s a twist from one of my previous builds, I was quite pleased with how it turned out. Metallic red with flat clear.A4A46EF0-5B8E-451C-8CB5-0A0E81C705B5.thumb.jpeg.a9e09e1767d863c0515d1bd77ad182ae.jpeg

Wow what a build. Pick-ups are my favorites. Red colour tone is great and the engine is an impressive. Third thing is very real looking seat cover.

Beautiful build Teijo, that colour is perfect! I saw a 1:1 hot rod in an almost identical colour a few years back, I still plan on trying to replicate the colour on a future build. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. Can i say you have a good taste of colours. Flat black is maybe too used so what about metallic flat paint, not too shiny but get some twist. Good luck to your project and put it to the forum.

    Very cool!!

I’m especially happy to see that you kept the characteristics of the ‘60 Dodge intact.

just goes to show that a very nice and tasteful custom can be accomplished without destroying the character of the original car.

    terrific work!!

Thanks Steve. I like this body and it is Kustom itself without big modifications. Side chrome moldings are one straight line on purpose. In the same way back light covers are without chrome to make this more simble. Chassis down, paint job, new match upholstery and there is mild Kustom.

  4. Resincast copy from Phoenix original kit. Amt `59 Camino kit sidepipes, photoetched windchield wipers and side mirror are extra add. Chrome things are painted, not new ones in real life but polished. Paint job is matte copper and colours are mix Revell copper + flat clear and little bit Testors black metallic give some patina. In cloydy day surface look a pretty dark but when sunshine hit it, it`s start to glow like a guitar amplifier tubes and I can hear Texas Strat Blues from exhaust. Dodge is what I call a Mad copper blues.

  5. I started this project about ten years ago and painted by Revell and Humbrol enamels, mix these to made body colour like old bone white. Then i forget it some reason and finally take Dodge to the table. I think paint is dry enough.  Lindberg kit and some own details like antenna and wires under hood. Low price Dodge except automatic transmission which seem to be leak oil.

The AMT/Polar Lights "snap kit" is full detail with a good engine and engine bay.

You are right, i check it out and hemi under hood. Now this hurt much more. Hard way but work is done.

  7. I just put together unknown manufactured `65 Coronet resin kit and Lindberg `64 Dodge 330 donor kit. Quality is not very well and the body was twisted and glass parts are poor, so I made new windshield from clear asetate plate. I notice later there is now avaible Amt snap kit but I think that I do not open the hood and make engine bay area in snap kit case.

Everything is clean and works well but body is little bit seem to know Road Worn.

I am a Factory Stock Builder . This catches my Eye and Attention . TY for that . Does the Boat have the stock Marine 6 Popper ? You know someone would ask this question :)  Eye/candy .. Thanx

Yes there is chris craft 6 cyl  engine but the colour is not stock. Engine colour is same than trailer so it`s match to the combination. This is not speed boat but whole group have seats and can keep sunday cruising with style.

Cool. I painted mine the same colors but haven't worked on it in over 10 years.

BTW, what's your name buddy? I"m not gonna call you "scale".

Thanks. Maybe now it`s time to get Fury ready. Yeah i`m not scale, just edit my profile.

Sorry to be unoriginal but cool is definitely the word. Just the thing for a day at the beach, as long as you don't mind lots of attention!

You are so right. Not for some shy drivers. Attention is guaranteed, how it`s looks and sounds.
