  1. I've been tempted to try that paint job for a while now, but I am abysmally bad at masking. Nice work. Great colors.
  2. I'm with you on this. I'm working so hard to get old projects done, I'm not sure I'll get to to it.
  3. My apologies. I was a bit rude. However we get this sort of thing a lot around here, where someone gives us some info on their latest discovery, with no data beyond "This works great! Try it!" After a while it gets bloody tiresome. Again, I apologize. Where can the leafing materials be purchased?
  4. That is just a work of art. Very nice.
  5. Clip the pin heads off below the air dam and I think you have a winner.
  6. Yes, a tutorial without photos is just an opinion. Please expound further. What is "size" for instance?
  7. Here's the nose art image. I was able to make some decent decals. I'll let it dry overnight, spray some flat clear and see how it looks. Please don't drool on your keyboard.
  8. Thanks very much Henry and Jon. Appreciate the ataboys.
  9. Thanks guys. More soon.
  10. I've decided to add some bomber-type nose art just forward of the front wheel arch. Still looking for an image that will reduce well. Pics soon.
  11. Please give us particulars Mike. I've never heard of this.
  12. Oh man. Not another '57 Chevy mud-slinger?! Man, I'm getting tired of seeing these every two days or so. But seriously folks, this is very creative. I really dig the concept and execution. Nice work.
  13. I'm looking forward to seeing this completed. Looks great.
  14. That looks exceptionally authentic. Big wow factor.
  15. Thanks very much guys. Here's the final teaser. This will be under glass the next time you see it.
  16. Interior work. Very simple. No frills. The kit interior is pretty lousy anyway, so decided not to sweat it too much. The body has had a coat of flat clear to blend in the decals and frankly, it looks awesome. I'll do one more mock up shot tomorrow and then the next time you see it will be under glass.
  17. Try some Wasrhammer sets at your local gaming store.
  18. Greg. GREAT plate suggestion! Likely a winner. I realize the silver hood isn't quite as appropriate as flat black, but I didn't want just another muscle car with a black hood.
  19. I would try to contact the builder, you can find anybody theses days. You'd be surprised how receptive some of the old time racers/builders are to curious builders.
  20. Hmm..................I wouldn't have thought that paint would be flexible enough.
  21. Thanks guys, very much. I hope to get a LOT done this weekend. BTW guys, I'm looking for ideas for a personalized plate for this one. Any brainstorms you might have would be appreciated.
  22. Very nice work. Well done!
  23. It's just Krylon Italian Olive. I used it for this too.
