  1. I like it! I have something similar planned for the same kit!
  2. Looking good!
  3. How about a set of side pipes and a whale tail?
  4. Agreed 100%
  5. Someone would have to reverse engineer new molds based on a vintage kit. I hear Round 2 is doing some of that to bring back old custom parts, but I'm not sure how feasible it would be do an entire kit. And what recourse the current owner of the Johan left-overs would have if it was done.
  6. Note the engine location.
  7. Nice work Jim. I love the color and wheel choice.
  8. Very nice. It has a great authentic look. Good color and detail.
  9. A real shame. Mojodoc was very outgoing and supportive when I rejoined this hobby and discovered the SA forums back in the day. He was a constant source of building advice and I liked him very much. The last place I saw him was the Model Cars Haven forums I think. He was a real good guy.
  10. Thanks guys. Glad you like it. Working on the sidepipes now.
  11. That's some excellent paint work. Looking good.
  12. That's a great thought and one I've been an advocate of for many years. This is a good work. A little bare metal foil on the trim and it would have a great authentic feel.
  13. Some updated shots. Sidepipes are gonna be huge and a focal point of the build. Will be making those this weekend. Blended in the panel seams and eliminated the side vent. I still need to locate new tail lenses.
  14. Nope aside from mounts, the engine fits very nicely. But that's mostly due to the scale difference. If it was a 1/24 engine, I'm sure there would be some issues.
  15. Nope that is NOT a typo. This is an older build that was started a few years back. I cannot find the original thread. It is inspired by the F-Bomb Camaro. Here's my starting point. Chevy purists should look no further. I'm putting a 1/25 Viper V-10 in this 1/24 Camaro. It fits very nicely. A quick mock up. Some minor wiring and paint. After fabbing some motor and tranny mounts,I think it looks right at home there. That's all from the old stuff. I'll be taking shots of more recent work, It will be two tone, semi-gloss olive green and flat black. I'll use some military decals to get the WWII bomber look I'm after. As always, ANY comments, criticisms or ideas to make the model better are kindly welcome. More soon.
  16. I have a Johan Mercedes kit I've been sitting for a while now, that I'm planning a hot rod build with. You are making me want to dive in now. Looking good, keep at it.

Perfection. A very authentic look on this one. Excellent work.
  18. I'm sorry guys. Those are all good examples, but there is only ONE greatest cover of all time. And this is it. No foolin'. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTxuv0w8LnY
  19. Thanks Frank. There was a lot of great work at the show.
  20. Most impressive. I'm not a huge fan of bubble tops, but that one looks good.
  21. Very nice work.
  22. That looks dynamite! Very authentic. Nice work.
