It doesn't matter if you get two interested parties or 500. If you want to built it, start the CBP. It's not my cup of tea, but I will cheer you on enthusiastically.
I have seen good things done with molded headlights tail lights. BMF and testors metallic red will work for the rear. And for the front, I've seen a mix of acrylic white and Future do well on headlights after several coats.
There are many guys here that do build there own racing tube frames. However there are several Chevy based pro stock kits that might be easily converted to the Vega.
I'm planning a Allison V12 based build and the kit is rather short on realism and I'd like to bump up the detail and accuracy. Does anyone have any sources of data on these? Specifically plumbing and wiring? Carb linkages? All the usual details we'd add. Most of my research shows pictures of engines removed from the vehicle.
Any help would be appreciated.
If I was going to change the Revell '67 Charger into a NASCAR racer, what Mopar donor kit would provide all the NASCAR goodies? Wheels, tires, cage, seat, etc etc.
Thanks for helpinng out.
One of these recently found it's way into my possession. Now I'm not a fan of the Thunderbird, so I pulled a out a Revell '67 Charger (my personal fav) and the wheel base is maybe a millimeter off. I'll have to mock up the suspension to get an accurate measurement, but it looks real good.
This one has been on my bucket list for a long while. I'm chomping at the bit to get started.
I picked this kit up in a trade and was shocked to see how bad a mold it was. I'll be using the gasser engine/chassis on something else.
I like what you did with this. Oftentimes builting a beater out of a stinker kit is the better part of valor.
