  1. What about the 69 Superbee?
  2. A great idea! Although, as it is a paper product, I wonder how they will hold up over the years? Humid/dry environments? Maybe seal it with Future? What do you think Tulio?
  3. In my ultra-humble opinion , this is my favorite work from you Rich. You made some excellent custom decisions and the finish and decals are top notch. I cannot wait to see the finished piece and this kit is a personal favorite. Nice work.
  4. Someone call Round2 and tell them there are more molds that need finding. Nice save on this.
  5. Not gonna make it this year. Sorry guys.
  6. I think the work avoided in scratchbuilding a chassis is alone worth $25.75. Very cool.
  7. My only critique would be on the photos themselves. Does your camera have a macro function? Usually symbolized by a small flower on most modern cameras.
  8. I have the wheels. But not the tires. Since I had no plans for the kit and the fella was REALLY looking for Blue Streaks and he'd helped me out before, I traded them away. I'm sure I can find something to throw on there though.
  9. That looks great. Nice work.
  10. I've heard of several alcoholics/addicts using model building as a great way to fill the time they would normally have been out partying. I'm very happy you have discovered the hobby in your road to recovery.
  11. Thanks for the help guys. Lee, I have other C-cab kits that would lend themselves to that much better. I think this one is destined for my trade pile.
  12. It's official. Christine returns!! http://stephenking.com/promo/christine_lives/
  13. I've got the kit, sans tires and no real love for the design as it sits. It's not aesthetically pleasing at all. Has anyone done any kit bashing with this and come up with something unique that might stoke the fires of inspiration? I look at this kit and I come up with nothing. ANY help is appreciated.
  14. Interesting.................
  15. Very nice! Great use of that old MPC kit.
  16. I'd cut up the old hood and add the front edge to the frame around the grill. Then when you get a new one, just remove a little at a time until it fits nicely.
  17. 1. I see five times more work than any new kit. 2. I see chrome that is thrashed. 3. I see glass that is likely irreplaceable. 4. I see parts broken in the disassembly. 5. I see frustration and headaches. Lastly, I see the money that stays in my wallet as I pass them by at shows and swap meets.
  18. Whoa. That's wicked.
  19. Here is the final solution in paint and BMF. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. More pics will be in the Under Glass section, Wednesday 4/2. It's definitely something you haven't seen before.
  20. I never allow the wheels on a model to roll. Period. Having said that, I've never had a reason to attach the model to the base. It just sits there.
  21. Very neat idea and an excellent execution.
  22. So I'm a bit confuzzled. Will this be another hover vehicle or will this have wheels? Love the green paint.
  23. From experience, this is good advice.
  24. Thanks very much to MsDano85gt (Dan Conway) for helping me out with nothing asked in return. I will pay it forward.
