  1. The best place to get quality aftermarket parts is a company called replicas and miniatures of maryland. They do not have a website, but I am sure that some one here can give you the fotki address so that you can see some of the parts that they offer. You can google the company for contact info to request a catalog.

  2. Paul, that is one sweet looking Del Ray. I started one in the same color scheme, only mine's is half as cool as yours. Great build. Hope to see it finished soon

  3. I know most of the guys here have a passion for the purple stuff, but I have used brake fluid for the last five years or so. It will not warp the body as I have left many of my bodies in the dunk for months at a time with no problems. Now that I think about it, everything that I have started has found its way into the fluid. Even though I'm using brake fluid I can't seem to stop putting them in the bucket.

  4. Thanks gentlemen, I have some of the professional green masking tape, but I was being very frantic about trying a new (to me) paint technique making paint stencils out of plain index cards. I was designing the patterns of the index cards, then cutting them out and tracing them onto the tape. I would them apply the tape and paint. So far it is turning out pretty good except for the tape residue.

  5. Ratrod, there are many talented builders here on this site, but you are one of the builders that I am always eager to see with new topics. I am so inspired by the work that you are doing with R/M choppers that I ran out and bought a bunch of the kits. One day I will actually get the guts to take a razor saw to them. None the less, this project bike is just as impressive as all the other ones you have blessed us to view. Keep up the great work.

  6. I wanted that kit for the cps, etc. Waited to long Model round up sold out, I guess. Have you had the kit long, I can't find one. I've seen your wrk., I have a feeling everything will look great.

The 59' has been re released. You can find it packaged in the lowrider series boxes at your finer LHS. I saw several on the shelf yesterday at my LHS.

  7. This is my first posted build here on the site. It is a Lexus VIP kit with adjustable suspension. I built it strictly out of box with BMF added. I also flocked the interior. The paint is HOK basecoat white topped with HOK snow white pearl and HOK clear coat. Thanks for looking!
