Hello my name is Clay, 1st time posting
I build 1/25 and 1/16 scale cars, pick up trucks, etc.
Currently I am building an original 1969 Chevelle Conv. I am going for the Yenko Theme with the 427 Big block. I have purchased several aftermarket items for this car, as well as swapped out the old chassis for the Oldsmobile chassis, obtained a big block Chevy engine from another kit,
I do have some questions that I hope you can help me with:
1. For the Factory Stock/ Carb, it lists a Holly 4150, what kit could best supply this carb, or is there an aftermarket source?
2. For the fan belts/ pulleys, alternator, with brackets, and power steering pump, which kit would be the best supplier of these item? I know there is a aftermarket co. that has a real rubber belt, does it look real? Or ??? I have never dealt with this item previously so I am not sure of the skill level it would need.
3. Rear Shocks: Is there an aftermarket company that make shocks that look real? Or what kit would be the best supplier for this?
4. U-Joints: I know that R&D went out of business, is there someone else that produces these, or again another kit that is very well detailed?
I am not a spokesperson for an evaluation company, nor am I trying to put a plug in for or take away from vendors,, just trying to build a better model.
Looking forward to the replies,
TIA,
Clay
