Back at you buddy, I'm glad we finally got to meet and trade. I'm sure we'll be trading a lot more. It was good meeting you today.

Thanks Scott, I’m definitely interested in it. SVO Mustang? The old MPC kit?

Yes it is whats left of it. It has a combination of the revell 93 cobra pieces in with it.

Is the chassis and engine stuff complete? That’s what I’m really looking for along with the inner fenders and dashboard. I’m gonna cut it up and graft it into another project that I’m working on.

I will check when I get home but im pretty sure ive got a svo 4 cylinder turbo engine still on the trees you can have.  I know we live in the same area so I'll check after work and if it's all there your more than welcome to it.

Dennis, I was just about to start a similar project. Only I was thinking of using the Lindberg 1964 Plymouth for the chassis and such. Mainly because it's what I have on hand. I will be watching to see how yours goes.

That's how i built my 63 fury. I had to remove a small section from the rear floor area.

Yes sir I still love the Demon, I love anything Mopar, the ‘70 Coronet is my most favorite ever, I’ve owned a few of them over the years.

My dad was a huge mopar guy and he owned a few as well, he was good friends with John labbous . My dad had a 70 superbee with a 440 and a  4 speed probably one of the fastest stock cars I've ridden in.

I dunno, but NASCAR's been a snoozefest to me for years, ever since all the cars became pretty much the same, with nothing "production" or "stock" about 'em.

    BO-ring.

BO-ring squared if they're running on batteries.

But hey...that's just me. I've got gasoline running in my veins.

I agree, i stopped watching years ago.  Paint all the cars white and you can't tell a ford from a toyota.

This kit is a great start for a gasser. I just wish AMT had seen fit to treat it like it really mattered. It could have been really great if they had had a little vision. Instead, they try to sell it to Coke collectors 😞. Here's my gasser:

    No, it won’t.

The people who bought it are more on the preservation side that the flip it for money side of the hobby. They have a bunch of Barris cars including the original Futura Batmobile SS well as the Hirohata Merc. This is the best possible outcome for this car as they will be stewards of the car rather than trying to make a quick buck off of it.

Time will tell... It's one of those cars that would most likely bring crazy money at auction.  Hopefully the new owners will keep and preserve it since it's a part of hot rod history.
