  1. Yea, I thought it would be fun to make my own. But I can give it a try
  2. Yea, I figured that but wasn't quite sure. Thanks for letting me know
  3. Is there a way to get a 70 El Camino out of a kit of a 70 Chevelle and a 65 El Camino without getting the resin?
  4. Hi, does anyone know who makes or where I can get a 53 Chevy 210 Wagon?
  5. You're right, because the 'interior' is really just a pick up cab and the bed isn't long or wide enough to make contact with the body at all. So i would probably need to build something or use something else as a donor kit
  6. Yea, I was thinking of this. But I wasn't quite sure. It makes a lot of sense now. Thanks
  7. With the Jimmy Flintstone 55-57 Suburban, it's recommended to use the AMT 55 Cameo kit to complete it. I mocked everything up, but the body is sitting on the wheels. Are there any other chassis or kits that can be used to complete it? Or am I just missing something with using the 55 Cameo as a donor kit?
  8. Thanks Tom, I'll have to try that out
  9. Hi Everyone, Does anyone know of a resin tubbed pro street chassis that will fit on a AMT/Lindberg 64 Belvedere?
  10. Sounds like a nice build. And I'll have to try scenes unlimited myself
  11. If thats the case then I'll omit the raising blocks then, thanks
  12. Thanks, I had no idea it was this simple. I'll try that
  13. Does anyone know if there are any aftermarket suspension parts for this truck? I'm looking for a 1/25 scale 67-91 C10 but I would rather have one with the stock suspension height. Any ideas are appreciated
  14. Hi Everyone, I was looking online for color ideas and came across this image. I'm not sure what the exact name of the color is. Any ideas?
  15. Ok then, thanks for your help
  16. Is there anything that you would recommend over createx?
  17. You did a great job on that build. I really like the color choices that you used. Did you use just regular createx or did you use their candy2o? I also read some where that regular creatix is only meant for fabrics, but I'm not sure. But I was thinking of using createx transparent purple over a metallic chrome
  18. Hi everyone, I was doing a little research and I came across a way of using acrylics to create a paint job with a candy effect. You can do this with using Tamiya's transparent colors over a metallic base coat. Has anyone tried this with Createx's transparent colors? And what experiences have you had with using Createx paints for model building?
  19. Is it as simple as just placing the front frame onto the chassis frame of the truck? What about the rear?
  20. I think I'll try mounting the axles over the springs. The only thing is whether or not there will be enough space for the axle to sit between the chassis frame and the upper part of the springs
  21. Hi everyone, I'm trying to figure out how I can lower the stance on the AMT '55 Cameo Pick Up truck. I see other builds that have been lowered and I'm wondering how I can do the same. I have an idea on removing the leaf springs from the build, but I'm not sure if that's a definite way of doing that or not. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  22. Thats a good idea. I thought about doing that but wasn't sure about how it would work- but I think it'll do fine. Thanks
  23. I was thinking the same thing about the rear after I studied the instructions a little bit. Adding spacers between the leaf springs and the axle would force the axle upwards, making the suspension lower in the rear. Thanks for your help
  24. I actually have a stance in mind that is a bit lower. I like the stance on this particular build, but I'm not sure if its the wheels that make the stance or if there was actual suspension lowering done to it http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/124217-amt-1966-ford-fairlane-427/ I also like the stance of this one as well, but I'm feeling a different wheel design- maybe slicks
