  1. Progress has been slow but progress is progress, I’ve managed to get a shot of primer on the body and started sanding out moulding lines. Also started stripping the chrome grill as the fitment isn’t to my liking so I’ve decided to mould it into the body to give it a hellcat inspired front end, new bumpers will be made front styrene sheet too and also moulded in to go with my modern classic style build. Whilst I’m on the subject of the hellcat, I’ve been making progress with the engine, it’s about a third of the way built, there’s just so many time consuming bits but here it is so far.
  2. Thanks for the feedback guys, the welding is a bit of pain but also I’ve not really done much welding before so that’s kind of new to me, I am debating to find a better condition shell and just transfer everything over.
  3. Hi all, I thought I’d share my full scale project I’m working on, if I had it my way it would be something with a V8 but here in the UK we don’t get a whole lot and the ones we do get are either diesel or have absolutely scandalous road tax charges. Either way I bought a Ford KA which originally had a 1.3l engine producing a might 69bhp, since then though I have put a 1.6l engine in with tuned ecu, still with the 1.3 gearbox, new clutch, alternator, starter, injectors, updated plugs, leads and coil pack, updated suspension, free flowing air filter and exhaust, updated brakes plus braided brake and clutch lines, wheels from a mk2 Ford escort. IMG_3392.mov The car now produces 110bhp but only weighs 600-700kg, probably less once the interior is stripped. I still have a bit of welding to do on it to get it road legal.
  4. Looks like you’re off to a good start! What are you thinking in terms of colour?
  5. It’s been a while since I last built scale models and I was wondering if the Pegasus wheel sleeves are still around or if they’re fully discontinued? If so are there any alternatives? Thanks
  6. A little update, the kit finally showed up from revell Germany, also bits 3d printed by Stichdup. So the plan is to modernise it but not overkill with a few oldskool touches, a nice purple paint job, smoothed in bumpers, custom suspension setup and the heart of the beast the 3d printed hellcat engine!
  7. So here it is, my first build in a good few years, I was originally going to be doing a 69 superbee but then found the roadrunner and had to have it. Im just waiting for the kit to turn up but I thought I’d still start my build post, also this is NOT going to be a straight box build, this will be custom build. Stay tuned…..
  8. That’s the kit, I’m not sure either Johny if the parts came in anything else, I’m looking for that complete engine and someone willing to send to the UK
  9. I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction, I’m looking for a dohc hemi I believe from a amt dodge super bee pro street kit? Any help would be appreciated
  10. Thanks for the warm welcome back guys!
  11. Hello all, I’m Declan and I am a previous member from years ago, unfortunately my old email got compromised and with everything else just in general life I forgot my password for my account and as a result could recover it. Anyway I’m back here after nearly a 10 year break from the models, I ended up moving to full scale haha, either way I got to a point where I feel I was missing something and it’s the scale model cars, not only that but the guys on here who helped me out and helped them too and and also I feel it was just a bit better time in general before the world went chaotic. Either way I’m back and my first project is going to be a 1969 dodge coronet super bee 🐝, I look forward to hopefully speaking to some old members and new ones.
