Hey Mike. I will be 73 this year in September. I am also in reasonably good health. Bad knees and back, high blood pressure but meds keep in under control. I try to stay busy but can't do a lot of things I use to do. I spend a couple hours a day building, currently working on a 61 Impala SS 409 that has been on my shelf over a year.

Alvin Lee was a truly underrated guitarist. I had to go back and watch that iconic live performance of I'm coming home from Woodstock. That ES looks like he is going to catch on fire at times.
Yes, Lee was one of many underrated guitarist. For me Jeff Healy was also underrared, for a blind guy he was amazing. Also I think Kenny Wayne Shepard is underrated. A couple of my favorites today are Kingfish Ingram and Poppa Chubby, who you don't hear much about.

The first note from Duane Allman on Don't Keep Me Wondering live at A&R Studios. One note says it all. Some amazing playing from both Betts and Allman on this recording. I'm a big Allman Brothers fan, so anything by them is up there at the top for me. Stormy Monday on the Live at Fillmore recording has some top notch soloing from both Betts and Allman.

I've been using Tracfone for many years. Works great for me. I buy 45 dollars of service every three months. It's a 3 bucket deal, minutes, data, text. What's not used rolls over.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I really appreciate it.

This is a kit I picked up at Ollie's. Nice kit. Paint is Tamiya XF 21 Sky. Revive It floor polish was applied as a gloss. Basically OOB build, added plug wires and a fuel line to the engine. Neither of the two top choices would fit correctly, so I just left it so I could swap them for a down and up top. I still need to add a few decals to the emblems. All comments welcome and thanks for looking.

Is that your build on the '66 James? So did your 1:1 have the 396?
Yes it is. That's the replica I built. Mine had the 396, Rochester 4 barrel with the Muncie 4 speed. If I remember correctly it had 375 HP.

Nice little kit, no major problems with it. Decided to go with Tamiya Flat Dark Green, no gloss and no chrome on the trim. There was no radiator hose in the kit, had to make one. Added spark plug wires, made a plate to mount the moon tank on the front. I didn't like the plastic tires, so found some rubber in my parts box that worked. All comments welcome and thanks for looking.

It was a mistake to cut the glass apart, you need those top strips to attach it to the inside of the roof. The windshield seems to have a relief at the bottom for some reason, maybe it is also used on something else? I wound up adding "stops" inside the roof for both pieces of glass on my build.
Yea, it fit good without cutting it apart. I only glued it at the bottom edge of the rear window and bottom edge of the windshield. Didn't need any glue on the top strips. I noticed that relief, not sure what it's for.

I finished one a couple of weeks back. Like making lemonade out of lemons ?.
Yours looks good. I like the engine. Just wait until you install the glass... hint.. don't separate the front and rear unless you really have to.
Thanks Bob. It's gone together good so far. Take a close look at the body photos, glass is in, I did not have to separate it.

I think the tops can be removed to reveal a larger opening. I've never tried, but have read about others doing it.

Nice work. They look great. I'm a fan of the show. I recently built a 56 Chevy based on one I saw on there.
