Guys,
I'm 53 and haven't built a model in 30+ years. A few years ago I bought some model kits I built when I was a kid. Building models was one of the best times in my life and I love to think about the day I finally get up enough nerve to build the one I want to RE-build first. MPC's red flip-nose 57 Vette. I have three others in boxes, but that's the one I want to dive back into with.
I'm going to try my hand at using an air brush for painting. My anxiety about painting the body is holding me back from starting, to be honest. As much as I loved building models in my youth, I remember screwing a good many of my models up when trying to paint the body. I'm hoping I can find some help on the first steps in what to get and how to use the airbrush and paints here on the forum.
A little side-trivia about me. If you ever played an old video game called Unreal Tournament 2004, I was the guy who made DM-Deck17 and CTF-FaceClassic for the retail game. Good times.
Anyway, thanks for having me. I'm so blown away by the skill level and the amount of detail you folks put into your models. You've inspired me to get back on the horse and start my most loved hobby again. Looking forward to talking and learning from you folks.
Teddie
