My uncle used to be a traveling salesman for Proctor & Gamble in the 70s, they always gave him a company car, his 1st was a 76 Chevy Malibu Classic coupe brown, his next was a 78 Mercury Monarch sedan in navy blue...The 1st year the Granada/Monarch were restyled with the square headlights.
Our neighbor up the street had a 77 cream color Ford Granada sedan, and my dad's best friend had a 76 Ford Granada Ghia coupe in gray.
Some of these had a 302 V8...Not saying much for a V8 in the Malaise Era of Smog Control. Lol
Not sure if the Granada and Monarch came with the Ford 9 inch rear end, but it was standard equipment on their sibling, the Lincoln Versailles.
