Very clean build and true to showroom stock except for that purple, which if offered would have been popular as it looks really good here. Well done Dan

Great looking color and GM should have offered something like that. The decals and body finish look great. the engine detailing is cleanly done. Like the way the wheels and tires are done.

    Thanks guys....

  3. Really nice freshly tooled kit with lots of fine detail. Some small issues particularly with the directions, such as showing the valve covers mounting upside down and some unclear mounting spots. The hood with hinges mounted is also very finicky. But all in all a pleasure to build. I obviously used a non-factory color but it turned out well with the white stripes. This was my second attempt at using bare metal foil and it turned out 100% better so I'll keep using it. Remember to wash all your parts before painting ... I ran into some issues with grease or oil left on the sprues. Highly recommended kit

Looks great Dan! I I really like the engine bay details. I built this kit a while back, pretty much box stock, and painted it green with white rally stripes. Your  selection of yellow looks good.

Thanks guys... It was also my first attempt at bare metal foil. Didn't go too well and I used too much pressure when trimming the edges. Took me about 2 hours to do the bare metal foil and with the Molotow pen it takes about 5 minutes. I'll try the foil again on my next project and see how it goes.

  7. I bought this kit for parts to use on other models, so when it came time to build it I had to fabricate the rear end, axle, wheels and exhaust... It turned out a little crude but not too bad for a middle of winter build. A friend of mine owned one much like this back in the day.
