Stavanzer, Thank you so much for your help! I have two of his model cars with me, but I can get the rest and post them all later this evening! I am posting images of my two favorites, I think one of them is as close to a fancy car as I’ll ever get! The first two images are of the 1947 Kurtis Sprint car and the rest are from a Bugatti Type 35 (the paperwork says it’s one of ten models by Art Collection Auto). Do forgive any reflections, I’m afraid to take off the case! And my Grandfather, though an avid collector, was not a builder. Spooker, my grandfather’s name was Frederick (Dick) Place! Hello, all! My grandfather passed away a few years ago and I’ve been given his model car collection. I have no idea what these beautiful cars are! He left only one with a handwritten note about a 1947 Kurtis Sprint car (pictured below outside for natural light, but is kept indoors), but little else explaining his collection. I’m in Louisiana, does anyone know where I could go to get detailed information on the cars he has? Thank you to anyone who can help!
