Over the last 40 years I've amassed a plethora of extra parts so if I have a specific part already in my stash I'd much rather use that because it costs me nothing. So unless a caster wants to pay me to use their offerings I'll stick to the 'free' stuff I have on hand.✌️Nothing beats free stuff.

I'm out of purgatory and can now reply to comments in real time. Nice!

Thanks for the responses gentlemen, I think I have one of the ASA T-birds in my stash from a purchased lot I'll take a look. RancheroSteve, I've had zero good luck with resins so I avoid them like the plague. ( And I'm Cheap ).

That's too bad, I think they would be a perfect fit as they are already shaped for the rear fender and don't intrude on the feature line. Well, carry on any way I'm sure you'll sort something out.

Testors and Union models made copies of the original IMC kit, if I'm not mistaken only the convertible had the upgraded custom parts.

What was the hardest or the coolest job u ever had or have?
Trainwreck replied to NYLIBUD's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I designed and built machinery for automation, it was cool and hard. -
I prefer your build without the fender skirts but maybe you just haven't found the right ones, any chance you could get your hands on the IMC '48 items?

IYO what would be the best representation of a kit provided 750 Holley carb in 1/25th scale? No resin. Thanks.

Sounds good, carry on Lee. Looking forward to your build.

That's a damn mess, Ron.

Do you plan to swap out the firewall with the doner car? The existing one looks a little tight.

A meticulously built kit with visible mold lines or a sagging bumper, today and every day.

There was a version of the Monte Carlo that actually came as a lowrider, if you don't have that kit I'm sure you could score the required parts in the wanted section of this forum.

Mopar 318 poly engines
Trainwreck replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I was scratching my head knowing I had seen one in a recent build on this forum. I found the car in question that was built by DRIPTROIT 71 who stated the poly was purchased through RB Models on eBay. It looked like a pretty good representation of the 318 you're looking for. -
Johan ? 1965 Plymouth Fury engines
Trainwreck replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
If the blown Hemi has a 727 transmission, it just might be the one from your Coronet, a suitable 383 would be found in the Revell '69 Dart. -
MPC 65 Coronet engines
Trainwreck replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The AMT 1968 roadrunner hemi and Revell '68 hemi dart would have the correct intake but the motor in the '65 sported a 727 transmission, so if accuracy is what you seek, you'll also have to hunt down one of those. -
Thanks again everyone.
