  1. I might add a fine, flat, metal file, some emery boards and a suggestion, if you want a good looking end result, cherry out the body 'cause that's the first and possibly only thing you're going to see when the finished kit is on the shelf.
  2. Thanks for the responses gentlemen, I think I have one of the ASA T-birds in my stash from a purchased lot I'll take a look. RancheroSteve, I've had zero good luck with resins so I avoid them like the plague. ( And I'm Cheap ).
  3. That's too bad, I think they would be a perfect fit as they are already shaped for the rear fender and don't intrude on the feature line. Well, carry on any way I'm sure you'll sort something out.
  4. Testors and Union models made copies of the original IMC kit, if I'm not mistaken only the convertible had the upgraded custom parts.
  5. I designed and built machinery for automation, it was cool and hard.
  6. I prefer your build without the fender skirts but maybe you just haven't found the right ones, any chance you could get your hands on the IMC '48 items?
  7. IYO what would be the best representation of a kit provided 750 Holley carb in 1/25th scale? No resin. Thanks.
  8. Sounds good, carry on Lee. Looking forward to your build.
  9. Thanks for the info Bob, I think my biggest concern with swapping the frame will be getting the rear arch under the nomad interior. I want to keep the nomad interior intact and don't want to have to doctor the frame too much.
  10. Curious to see if I can swap some parts from the Revell '60 into the nomad, I'll definitely pick up on a couple barracudas.
  11. That's a damn mess, Ron.
  12. Do you plan to swap out the firewall with the doner car? The existing one looks a little tight.
  13. If I'm not mistaken, the Round2 '69 Olds cutlass has a set of torque thrust mags as an option. Don't know if they're exactly what you're looking for but it wouldn't hurt to check them out.
  14. I'm kinda' partial to the original but I agree it's a cool colour combo.
  15. A meticulously built kit with visible mold lines or a sagging bumper, today and every day.
  16. A clean and convincing build, actually fooled me for a second.
  17. There was a version of the Monte Carlo that actually came as a lowrider, if you don't have that kit I'm sure you could score the required parts in the wanted section of this forum.
  18. I was scratching my head knowing I had seen one in a recent build on this forum. I found the car in question that was built by DRIPTROIT 71 who stated the poly was purchased through RB Models on eBay. It looked like a pretty good representation of the 318 you're looking for.
  19. Nice lil' car.
  20. If the blown Hemi has a 727 transmission, it just might be the one from your Coronet, a suitable 383 would be found in the Revell '69 Dart.
  21. The AMT 1968 roadrunner hemi and Revell '68 hemi dart would have the correct intake but the motor in the '65 sported a 727 transmission, so if accuracy is what you seek, you'll also have to hunt down one of those.
  22. Thanks again everyone.
  23. You could always BMF them, I think it would be less frustrating than trying to pick them out with a hard leaded pencil. A softer HB pencil might work a little better but I'd still think about the foil option.
  24. Thank you gentlemen, glad to be here.
