Thanks for the info Bob, I think my biggest concern with swapping the frame will be getting the rear arch under the nomad interior. I want to keep the nomad interior intact and don't want to have to doctor the frame too much.
If I'm not mistaken, the Round2 '69 Olds cutlass has a set of torque thrust mags as an option.
Don't know if they're exactly what you're looking for but it wouldn't hurt to check them out.
There was a version of the Monte Carlo that actually came as a lowrider, if you don't have that kit I'm sure you could score the required parts in the wanted section of this forum.
I was scratching my head knowing I had seen one in a recent build on this forum. I found the car in question that was built by DRIPTROIT 71 who stated the poly was purchased through RB Models on eBay.
It looked like a pretty good representation of the 318 you're looking for.
The AMT 1968 roadrunner hemi and Revell '68 hemi dart would have the correct intake but the motor in the '65 sported a 727 transmission, so if accuracy is what you seek, you'll also have to hunt down one of those.
You could always BMF them, I think it would be less frustrating than trying to pick them out with a hard leaded pencil. A softer HB pencil might work a little better but I'd still think about the foil option.
Hoping not to re-create the fiasco from my last forum foray. Anyway the name's Bill I've been building for longer than I care to remember but still enjoy my time at the bench. Looking forward to interacting with fellow modelers.
