  1. Nice!!!!!
  2. John, I am impressed with the work you are doing with this one. I am too a "Barracuda Lover". When I was a kid, a friend of mine got a very nice present from his dad, a '67 Barracuda Fastback in red, with a black interior, 273 Power Pack, and Torqueflite. His dad was into racing, and made a deal with his son. When the temporary tags went dead (20 days), the car would be turned into a race car. The day after they brought it home from the dealer, it received a set of Hooker Fenderwell headers, a Mallory "Rev Pol" ignition system, a set of cheater slicks, and tow tabs welded to the fenders. The car was pretty successful at Aquasco Raceway in MD, as it was very consistant in the brackets. I thought that car was so cool. I have a couple of Barracuda projects for the future, none of which is nearly as nice as your project. I have a couple of '65's to rebuild, and this '68 which is actually a '69. I had a really ratty built-up '68 glue-bomb, that was unsalvageable. The project started when I bought a Perry's Resin '68 Barracuda Transkit. It was obviously incomplete, so over the years I gathered the parts to make it work. I cut that '68 7-ways to Sunday, and swapped in the '68 pieces to the '69, even going as far as shaving the emblems off, and installing the front and rear clips from the '68 into the '69. I have a set of Keith Marks' decals for it, and with the exception of the wheel covers, this is what I am going for. I have some Turbine Bronze paint, and a set of '68 specific interior piecs for it.. Your car looks great, and will put my little project to shame. I have to step up my game just to keep up with you.
  3. One is enough. That is beautiful!!!
  4. Very Nice!!!!!
  5. I remember building the original Dodge pickup with the 8' Bed, and those huge tires. Your build is looking good so far. I like where it is going. If you are going with a set of Dog Dish Caps, Missing Link Resins has the ones you need. I added the trim rings, which I cut from a set of Dodge Rallye Wheels.
  6. Thanks for the comments on this one. I built this one in 2007, and did quite of bit of work to the rear window to make it look more like the real car. This is one of my favorite models, and I have one of his '66's, which I am going to do as a Maryland State Police Cruiser. I saw one at a show, and took quite a few pictures of it.
  7. James, That is coming along great. I had an idea to do the same thing. I bought this last weekend at our club meeting Unfortunately, I am not even going to cut this one up, as it is surpisingly complete, and the paint should strip easily. I already removed the decals, and I have a set of Slixx Sox and Martin Decals. I'm going to build mine as a '70 instead. Yours is looking great so far.
  8. Lovely.
  9. You got a lot done this year. Great work!!!!!
  10. Wow!!!!!
  11. Niiiice!!!!
  12. Those are nice!!!!!
  13. Yes Tom, I will be doing the 350/Auto Combo. I found an acceptable air cleaner, and I have a few small blocks in the stash.
  14. Jeff, Your conversion is excellent!!!! I would think that modifying the up-top from the Revell '72 cutlass would probably be the way to go. The slope of the back section is similar, and there is enough up front to tweak. the only issue could be where the bows are. You may have to slice it up to fit.
  15. On Memorial Day 1974, my mom made a decision to buy a new car. Not to go too far into the story, this is what she came home with. Fast forward 39 years. I have always wanted to do a model of the car. A couple of years ago, my pal Jerry Frasier sold me a built-up MPC '74 Caprice Coupe. I decided to try my hand at a conversion, and here is where I am as of now. Please excuse the fuzzy cell phone photo. I promise to take better pictures. I have to make a grille, and a few refinements to the body.
  16. Welcome back Bill.!!!! I am so sorry to hear about your, dad, as I went through same thing a few years ago. I love where you are going with this one.
  17. I stand corrected, and it will make a good '57 Ford subject, now that we know the right color. I saw the picture on TV last week, and the car had what looks like a 312-4bbl under the hood, without a supercharger.
  18. Cumberland Green and White makes sense, that's why I placed the ? after the red. I appreciate the info, as I may do a Thunder Road car to go with a Black 300 2 Door Sedan I am planning.
  19. I got my hands on a woody today, and compared it to the Mod Squad Woody. More on this in a separate post.
