  1. Well Tulio, You built one of the cars from the movie, and you did a wonderful job of it. Now if you do a '57 Fairlane 500 Club Victoria in Red? and White, you will have Robert Michum's car.
  2. Tell me about it. At least I fixed this raggamuffin. Boy does that sparkle!!!!!!!
  3. Years ago, I was able to get my hands on a barely started JoHan 1965 Plymouth Fury Convertible Kit. The windshield header was broken off, and the skirts were cut out. I got the replacement windshield header from the Modelhaus, and installed it into the body about 12 years ago. I plan to use as much of the kit parts as possible in the interest of a good fit. I have to scratch build a set of skirts, and source a 426 Wedge V8, which I have. I have a few projects ahead of this one, but I want to get it done to go with my '65 Dodge Polara CHP Car, and 1966 Dodge Polara 500 Convertible. . This is what I want to end up with.
  4. Al, I really enjoyed your '60 Corvair. I may do mine in Roman Red to go with my '60 Impala convertible.
  5. I did the same thing with a gluebomb '64 Wildcat 'vert years ago. I never reinstalled the engine. Mine is Red. I enjoy looking at your builds.
  6. Z, Your conversions are exquisite!!! Personally, I am not all that crazy about the rolling stock, as I never cared for wide whites on any mid '60's car except for a Cadillac. The concept is great, and the execution is excellent.
  7. I just bought a couple of them on EBay
  8. Very Nice!!!!
  9. Mike, All of the work you put into this one was well worth it. This one is downright georgeous. The best looking example of this kit I have seen. Thank you for sharing it with us.
  10. Interesting.
  11. Do you mean something like this? Or like this?
  12. Exactly!!!!! BTW, welcome back, and will I see you next Saturday????
  13. Tom, You probably have an AMT '61 Corvair, as that one had a separate hardtop, which was not correct for a replica stock, because in 1961, the 2-door Corvair was a pillared coupe, which was done as a 1962 kit. The convertible had not yet been introduced, and AMT did that one as a kit in 1963.
  14. Yes you did get a good deal Al!!!!!
  15. Nothing they did back in 1970 would surprise me. I found this info out after I made the reply. I am doing a lot of research to do my build. Your build is coming along nicely.
  16. I have been doing research for a review of the kit in our club's newsletter. The only color available for the elastomeric rear bumper on 1970 Cudas was rallye red. However, in 1971, there were 4 colors available for the rear Elastomeric bumper, -- B '71 Red 2962 391 FE5 - "rallye red" -- B '71 Citron Yella 3464 883 GY3 - "curious yellow" -- B '71 Plum Met. 3464 884 FC7 - "in-violet metallic" -- B '71 Tor Red 3464 885 EV2 - "tor-red metallic". It is possible that some late 1970 Cuda rear bumpers could have been in those colors too. Everything depended on the suppliers, and I am quite sure that some were retrofitted at the dealership level.
  17. I have the same question. I have been working on one like it seems forever. I cannot decide on a color combo. I have the bodywork done, and everything to do the build. What I started with. Bodywork is done. I have 2-63 convertibles to go with it. Al, Your work is so exquisite. Maybe seeing what you do with one will give me the motivation.
  18. And that is why I like your work.
