  1. Jus to make a authentic 39 Standard , uh one tail lamp , one wiper and three colors were available . Oh, the dashboard was very much plainer too...............
  2. Guess what.................................... THEY DID!
  3. If you look back to the 60's, MPC took on a lot of what I felt were missed opportunities from AMT. Granted, it was an off shoot company as AMT couldn't deal with the Union. AMT was also very friendly with the Ford family. Notice who got engines in their kits back in 1960. Note whose kits were made into the now famous "Trophy Kits " . Jo- Han concentrated on some of the larger , heavier cars like Cadillac and Chrysler . Revell got into the automobile business in a "Back door way by doing Mickey Thompson and Ed Roth creations . Monogram, Aurora , they were almost all over the place with some 1-32 kits and really obscure subjects . Each company had it's UNIQUE strengths .
  4. I found this resin conversion of a White 3000 from Sourkraut models . I have no idea as to the availability or how long it would take to reach a customer .
  5. Neither could I sir ....................
  6. I'll never understand why G M never did this one even though it would have been a limited sales edition .
  7. Thank you everyone as to the great photos you ALL have sent in on this car !
  8. Ken, ask GT MUST about this automobile . He runs a forum that features such seldom seen cars
  9. You're model looks very nice . Meanwhile good luck at the contest . I got the information a little late and I wasn't really thrilled as to what was eligible .
  10. Dominick, I don't know if this would be of interest to you or not . A quarter sized Fiberglass model , constructed by a close friend of mine, Marty Martino is in a Meusuiem in Waynesborough Virginia . Marty and I spoke years ago of him doing a "Running - driving " Clone of this car . Marty was the same fellow who did the clone of the Pontiac Club de Mer and recently was featured in the June 2013 edition of Collectable Automobile for his work on the L' Salle roadster for Joe Bortz. Marty told me a while back at our local Saturday night cruise in that he is definitely going ahead with plans to do the car . He's starting with the chassis from a 1956 Lincoln
  11. My point is finally made, THANK YOU !
  12. I'll give ya three hubcaps on the "Period Correctness build ". I was a manufacturer 0f Custom van parts then ................
  13. BOTH suggestions have worked in the past for me ! Thanks for the posts too, ( Joe and Gilbert ) !!!!!!!!
  14. Thanks , I built the first MPC Fiero and then traded the Monogram or the 1984 Fiero off to a member here on the forum ...............
  15. John, look into I THINK, the Revell 1932 Ford sedan kit . I seem to remember such an air cleaner in either the 1932 ford 5 window or the sedan . I also remember seeing one of the newer resin casters doing this one too. I just don't fool around too much with competition models . I work on the real ones and I usually trade off the speed equipment ............
  16. Folks , some of ya'all really NEED to visit Primarily Petrolina @oldgas.com . I say that because of ALL THE FAKE Stuff being foisted upon us on Evilist Bay . Every day , I see another report of some Argentinian sign being run out and then sold as a "Genuine " Authentic original piece . I don't see Exxon- Mobil shutting them down . Besides , I see White Eagle stuff more an more , MOST OF IT'S FAKE too ! Oh I guess for the uninformed , White eagle was a Mobil oil subsidiary years ago . So was General petroleum . I've spotted several "Fake " General signs at swap meets . So far no one from either Mobil , Exxon - Mobil or a law office has seen fit to shut one of them down . Hey, not wanting to start problems here , but as long as someone has the ability to silk screen something or use a computer, I see a career of re producing ANYTHING Mobil, Exxon General , White Star , and Lubrite !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. I dared to be different . Mine is a service vehicle ................
  18. Amazing......................................
  19. Short of buying stock in the nearest "Zip Lock " plastic bag company, I dunno what to tell ya to do . George had a decent suggestion though .................
  20. Mike , in addition to being a promotional friction, AMT actually kitted this "Jewel " as in a 3- in one kit too. Being as I'm a vintage Pontiac fan, I wish ( Round to it ) would take a moment and hunt the tools down to re release this long ago and probably forgotten kit to us again .
  21. Harry, count me in on that one ! Problem is , it's a long way from Richmond Virginia especially driving my 53 Ford to look at a hobby shop ..................
  22. The Two part "Bondo " is probably the easier to find . NAPA, Pep Boys , Auto Zone , Advance , Chief, all carry this product in their respective paint sections ...............
  23. Bryan, I have heard some people using Revell and MPC's Ford truck kits . The difference seems to be the hood shape and of course the grille shell.
