  1. Hello! You might of seen my recent threads asking what kind of airbrush to get etc. I followed a few members advice that pm'd me and I went to a local Michaels. WIth a 40% off coupon in hand. I purchased a Badger ANTHEM Airbrush (Model 155). And I tryed it with some Createx paint labeled Airbrush Colors, I tryed it on a spare parts kit and it seemed to go on fairly well and dryed nicley. Today I'm getting a compressor and an air moisture filter, but I have a few questions. 1) Can I use say Testors enamels with an airbrush, would I have to thin them? 2) What kinds of paints can't I use and which should I use? 3) Every time I buy a new color, I have to buy a bottle for it so I can put the lid on it with a tube for my airbrush for that color? Or is their another way to use the bottles they come in with my brand of airbrush.
  2. Well I used a spray can so I'm not sure how to fix it.
  3. Hello! I'm looking to get my first airbrush setup inorder to start airbrushing, I was wondering if this would be suitiable. http://www.amazon.com/PAASCHE-AIRBRUSH-Qui...547&sr=8-32 Is this good? Would I need anything else? Or what about http://www.amazon.com/Paasche-Airbrush-Com.../ref=pd_sim_t_2 that and this http://www.amazon.com/Paasche-Airbrush-Com...pd_bxgy_t_img_b If anyone could help that would be great I don't want to spend more than around 150$ on an airbrush set, and not more than around 100$ on a compressor. What else do I REALLY need besides those two things for a first airbrush setup? EDIT: Sorry I've been up so many hours I forgot about my other thread. -.-
  4. Hello! I've recently completed my 2006 (AMT KIT) Chevy Camaro, and the car is all done, but because of my cat I've accidently gotten a small paint chip on the roof and rear, I'm looking for a way to spray that area without getting it on tail lights or windows? I'm thinking I could get a flat match stick and spray the end and smooth it over the areas? (They're very small inperfection)
  5. Hello! I've been building model cars for quite some time now and I've recently made a really nice '06 Camaro (AMT Kit) and most of my cars I've been using Tamiya etc sprays and they've been coming gorgeous! My only question now is should I move up to airbrushing? I definatly feel I am ready. Can anyone help me find a beginner airbrush set and whatever I'll need to set it up. I don't really want to spend more than 200$ at a max. If anyone could help me that would be great. So far I've seen http://www.amazon.com/Unbranded-31200-Air-...2762&sr=8-2 Which looks like it could be promising. anyone have any ideas? EDIT: These seem great for first airbrush kits, what do yous think? http://www.amazon.com/Paasche-Airbrush-Com...2762&sr=8-4 http://www.amazon.com/Mighty-Mini-Airbrush...762&sr=8-16 http://www.amazon.com/Testor-Corp-Aztek-A4...429&sr=8-18 http://www.amazon.com/Testor-Corp-Metal-Ai...429&sr=8-23
  6. I'm trying out what color I'd need to achieve this color. I'm thinking either a Burgundy Red, or a Metallic Burgundy, anyone know? EDIT: Maybe a Candy Scarlet?
  7. Does anyone know a North East (Preferably near NJ) that sells paints such as Testors enamels, and Tamiya spray paints. If so thanks
  8. Hello, I'm starting working on an Enzo Ferrari (A Revell kit) As some of you might of seen it already, the body of it is white and I'm going to be spraying it Gloss Red. My only question is, should I prime it before hand?
  9. Thanks alot guys, I got my hands on some Tamiya's Metallic Blue spraypaint, it definatly was not what I'm looking for, what I was looking for was more of a Metallic Baby Blue? But I'll settle with this. Thanks again
  10. I stumbled into a KB Toys in my mall that's going out of business and has a 90% off sale on all stock, while looking for a Chess Set, I found a model car that really caught my eye, it was a 1:25 AMT Made, 1966 Ford Mustang Hardtop. It wasn't the car that caught my eye, but the color of the stock car on the box, I had to have it. So I took a look online, on Amazon it was 19.99$ plus 8.00$ Shipping, plus $3.00 tax. I brought it up to the counter, and it rang up for 3.40$, I went and picked up another and bought TWO for a total of 6.50$ instead of the 30$ I'd pay on Amazon per one and wait for it. So I have a question to all of you, can any of yous look at my below pictures and help me find what colors I'd need to buy to paint this car the color it is on the box, too me it looks like a babyblue color, but I really aren't sure, if anyone could please help me I'd really appreciate it. Also can anyone point me to possibly a website on where I could buy these colors? Thanks alot
  11. Like theres a letter for G, but theres NO symbols that have the color G, theres also P, but it says the letter P means PLATED piece.
  12. Hi! I'm fairly new to model cars, and for my second car ever I'm going to be doing a '06 Chevy Camaro. I have all the colors listed, I know how to to paint, and build it etc. The only problem is I don't know what colors to paint. Heres pictures of the instructions, and the kit. Please help me figure out how the hell I should know what color to paint what. http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h259/chr...s/IMG_00391.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h259/chr...s/IMG_00401.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h259/chr...s/IMG_00411.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h259/chr...s/IMG_00421.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h259/chr...s/IMG_00431.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h259/chr...s/IMG_00441.jpg Sorry that they're sideways, but I'm itching to start this project, so any help would be great.
