  1. Agreed. Art or Larry- are the transmissions supposed to be engine-color, too? I always thought those were plain cast iron. Nice work either way. I may try drilling those out myself. Charlie Larkin
  2. Spectacular. How much arm-twisting would it take to get you to make another one and give it to Motor City, Missing Link or The Modelhaus? For people like me who never have modifications/kit-bashing end well, this would be a wonderful treat to build! Charlie Larkin
  3. Beautifully done. Charlie Larkin
  4. Question that just occurred to me, Randy. What did you do for the casters on that little cart? Is there some type of kit for those, or are they scratched? I'm mainly curious about where you found that thick-walled tubing. Charlie Larkin
  5. Wasn't that described by most as one of the worst tools ever devised for model car building? And I have to agree,Jim. This is really a work of art. Charlie Larkin
  6. Looking good. Charlie Larkin
  7. Very well done. Charlie Larkin
  8. Very nice job on that, Randy. I'll look forward to seeing more of this. Charlie Larkin
  9. Absolutely beautiful work to date. Charlie Larkin
  10. I have the one that I built when I was about 8 that I need to re-do. Yours came out very nicely, Ron. I like your work. Charlie Larkin
  11. Looks good, Sam. Charlie Larkin
  12. I like the color scheme on it. Nice, clean build, too. Charlie Larkin
  13. Interesting paint scheme. That black roof must've got plenty warm in the summer, though. Nice build. Charlie Larkin
  14. Looking very good so far. Charlie Larkin
  15. I wonder if that '69 Chevelle Convertible has the same goofy taillights as the coupe? They just don't look right to me. I'm also curious if that Ranchero can be built stock or not. The Demon would be a nice addition to the fleet, as well. Charlie Larkin
  16. Those die-cut foils must have made that job a boatload easier. I like the direction the story is going in, too. Charlie Larkin
  17. OUCH! I've had similar mishaps happen to me before. It's very painful when it does. If I run across something for you reasonably-priced at our upcoming show, I'll let you know. Charlie Larkin
  18. That will be a very nice build when you're finished, Andre. Charlie Larkin
  19. Missing teeth.... Coming to an oral surgeon near you. Provided they can be found. Mark, feel free to move on down here. Plenty of inventory on hand for houses. Charlie Larkin
  20. If these kits are made in such a manner that they can be built stock, I will buy one each coupe, panel and pickup. If you do a 4-door I'm in for one, too. I just hope the currency exchange doesn't do in my planned purchases. Charlie Larkin
  21. If they had put that prototype into production, even with the doofy taillights, I'd be a lot more interested. In the meantime, in the event I hit a large jackpot, my local Chevy dealer has a white/silver C6 Gran Sport in the showroom that they'll "give me a deal on." Charlie Larkin
  22. I wonder if some program can be used to take a picture from a photo CD, and then convert the picture into whatever the printer wants to use? I've tried CAD before, and wanted to throw the computer out the window. The most infuriating thing I ever tried aside from attempting to use one of my friend's so-called "smart" phones. I'm personally waiting for a CAD drafting board that acts like a pencil and paper one. When those come out, I'll give it another try. Charlie Larkin
  23. I do like this. GM- PLEASE make this car! Charlie Larkin
  24. I'm rather with Bill on his remarks about the busyness of the design. I also think a lot of the designs pieces are a bit incongruous. The engineering, however, sounds quite interesting and should be appreciated. 400 hp, even if a "conservative" rating and 30 miles a gallon is very cool. Charlie Larkin
  25. Gotta agree with Dan about the elastics on wagon wheels. And from talking to a lot of tire men lately, as my car has become very hard to fit tires for, the tires also don't take well to New England roads. Back to the model, it looks great, Bruce. I would suspect some WWWs might have been available new for some time after the early '60s, so I suppose it's possible. I personally would have preferred the narrows on that car, as I think they proportion better, but they do work in their own way. I like the pastel blue with black vinyl roof. That looks good. Charlie Larkin
