  1. if she is doing this quality of work on her second model, she will be one to keep an eye on in the future.

that clean of a build at no.2 I would love to see no.20 after she finds a few tricks and tips.

    very well done

  2. I will join the very nice banwagon. I looked at the pic's very closley and was very impressed. I'm building a import at the moment and was starting to get burnt out ,but now I think I might have to go work on it some. thanks dude!

  3. thanks for all the great comments guy's. the colors are a boyd's ice blue pearl and tamaya pure white with a house of color plue pearl over it. ( the hok pearl didn't pop in the pics) but over all I'm happy with the build.

  4. built this one with the farmer handing his good ol' truck to his coming of age son, and the son starts the jurney

to ruin his father's truck.(in his fathers mind)

    thanks for lookin.. B)

  5. CRAZY JIM, I would have a hard time building a kit with out the pegasus wheel sleevs. this set looks like the pegasus set but the centers are from the revell eclips tuner kit. sanded off the ridge on the wheel and slid right in.

SEEKER 589, the decal on the back came on the decal sheet in the kit. comes in black and white.

set the car in the glass case at the local hobby shop today, we will see what happens....

  6. yea mike no problem. first sprayed in gray primer, then sprayed wal-mart alluminum,

then scuffed with scotch bright pad lightly.(not enough to go through the primer)

then used black wash over the whole thing. I really like the way it turned out...

  7. went at this one with fast and furious tokyo drift in mind. the movie went with a mustang.

I used a 32 5 window coupe. also went for a bare steel body (no paint) look.

motor is a twin turbo V6 from a 300z kit and wheels are from revell tuner kit and sleeved

the back wheel for a hot rod look. speakers from the hummer kit.

  8. hay guys, how you been? back at the bench with a kit I,v been eyeballin for a long time. ;)

    IMG_1195.jpg

got the stance right and a set of wheels that I like, made the backs a little deeper for the right look.

    IMG_1196.jpg

cut the doors off and raised the rear fender wells to fit the rear tires.

    IMG_1197.jpg

kicked out the straight six for a chev 350 with a few goodies. :D

    IMG_1204.jpg

got the trunk open. now it's time to figure out the best way to hinge it. not alot to mount to on the body.

    but I like the challange.

    IMG_1203.jpg

figured out the door hinge and tried a test color in the motor compartment, not sure about that.

thats all for now, so enjoy and have fun.....

  9. hay, looking good so far. I picked up this kit a week ago and my back tires are deformed. how did yours look?

building my kit for my wife, and will post pics later ,but have to resolve the tire problem first.

  10. hay Gary. check in with hobby town and get your gift card from the model show. (I got mine already). diggen the builds that I didn't see at the show. I'd like to see more also. I'll give ya a call later and find your new shop , I'd like to stop by and hang out for a bit. I told ya this site was pretty cool. I'm liken the ability to look at the builds you put on here.... ;)

  11. Nah bro, nothing I did would workout right, or look'd right. tho I have to get the hood to fit flush, then I will go from there again...

hay bro. you can shoot my a PM if you want to brain storm again on that build. best of luck on that hood

    dude.

  12. thanks alot guys. this build definatly got me pumped up when it was done.

I'm new to the BMF thing so I actually enjoyed doing it, the kit does come with alot of chrome, the things I used BMF on

are as fallows. front and rear windows - rain rails over doors - hash marks on front fenders - the V emblem on the hood and trunk - the molding on the fender skirts - the moldings and cranks on the interior. It's almost like disarming a bomb

when you do BMF cause you know if your not careful it will blow up. :) thanks again guys, its always nice to get alot of feedback on a build, makes you feel like you are not waisting your time. ;)

  13. well this build started off cause as I looked through this site and noticed alot of veriaty in some peoples collections,

I realized I do the same build over and over again... :)

so as I was looking at one of evil ones builds and decided to try a lowrider.

the goal was a very clean and detailed build. I am happy with the results and learned some things on the way. :P

for the most part revell did a good job with the kit. had to do some fitting on the hood so it would

close all the way. sand and putty some molding lines in the trunk and fenders, and some light mods on inner fender well to

get the back to go a little lower. but detail and overall fit was nice. would recommend the kit.

thanks for looking and I'm headed to the bench to start another one.

  14. well she is done! :) I'm glad I stuck with it, I feel good about what I was able to do. I'm trying to add elements to every build and this came out clean and that is what I was aiming for. got a pic of the upholstery and the finish pics will be under glass.

    IMG_0942.jpg

its got alot of flaws in the foil ,but man those moldings and cranks are small .

hope you like and will come check out the finish product.
