  1. Where can I purchase the polishing kit that you speak of?
  2. So clear has dried and looks good. What do I do to finsih this off with a nice polished look? I have tried wet sanding with mixed results using 1200 but that would be to harsh for the final finish correct? What is the final move.
  3. Big Gary. Yes I have learned that one the hard way. but I am spraying Acrlic over enamel with good results.
  4. thanks. You were correct I went back and sprayed gloss clear over gloss black and it looks great. So now a couple more things. Do you guys ever mix enamel and acrylic on the same build. for example engine enamel rest of build acrylic. Just thinkiin since I have a bunch of enamel to get rid of and need a couple specific colors anyone ever do this. Also do most of you brush details like seats and motor or airbrush everything you can.? I am also thinking of trying the future that everyone talks about. Do I spray that last. after my final clear. and also is that prior to the build out of the model. You dont spray it over everything right?
  5. I just started air brushing. Have read and tried a few different things. I am on my 5th model and I love the brush. I use it for body parts and large parts and brush the rest. I recently have moved from testors enamel to Model master acrylics. My paint lies down just fine. I primer with testors enamel and I get a nice even coat with the model master acrylics. I like the enamel a bit better but the clean up is so much easier that I am satisfied with the acrylics. My question or problem is this. I can't seem to get a nice clear finish after painting is complete. I have tried model master semi gloss clear and I just did not like the coverage. I got some spotting and found it hard to spray. Suggestions and also thoughts on paint that I am using and what most other do for body and detail? Thanks. I am glad to be back in this and have completed 9 cars now most all 60's and early 70 muscle cars. Each model seems to get a bit better for me. I just did an Orange 66 GTO that is my nicest build to date. Again, thoughts are welcome.
