  1. I KNOW I like that colour!
  2. Thanks for the new comments Kyle, Dan and Steve. This kit has really stood the test of time and still builds into a fine replica. My sister sent me one from New York when she was there in 1963. Such things were scarce in New Zealand and it was the first pick-up kit I'd ever seen. Being 13, I built the full custom version, like on the original box-top;
  3. Great illustration and model!
  4. Beautiful! Back when cars had style .
  5. Very nice!
  6. Great looking model!
  7. Nice job!
  8. Beautifully done!
  9. Thanks for the great review, first chance I've had to peak inside the box of one of these. I always enjoy this sort of post. And the two built models are beautiful!
  10. Great looking model!
  11. Steve B: excellent, I'll check them out. Thanks very much!
  12. Steve, another fantastic model with beautifully crisp detailing throughout. Wonderful!
  13. Thanks Steve. Yes, there are companies doing vacuum metalizing in Switzerland but only on an industrial scale with an exorbitant minimum charge. It would be less expensive to send the parts to America and back. I'm hoping there's a European equivalent to Chrome-Tech, ie someone who "understands" model cars.
  14. Does anyone know of a company in Europe who specializes in chrome-plating plastic model parts?
  15. Beautiful model! That metallic turquoise is stunning. And I totally agree about opening panels - it's what puts me off many a diecast and some plastic kits too.
  16. That is truly one incredibly realistic model - and beautifully photographed, too.
  17. Fantastic model of a car I've always been fond of. A pity there haven't been more Studebakers in plastic.
  18. Excellent!
  19. Great models, great photos!
  20. I was afraid you'd say that
  21. Jürgen, it's even conceivable that I saw that same car in Winterthur on its way home from Salzburg to canton Uri in central Switzerland - going by its number plate.
  22. Nice job, love the colours!
  23. Very very nice!! I would love to have a 4-door Pontiac on my shelf.
