  1. Thanks guys for the kind words. I'm glad you like my Caddy, it was always one of my favorites. It WILL get rebuilt along with the others in time. I'll try the camera trick and the photoediting. I dont have a lot of time as I am at work using the computer Shhhhhhhhhhhhh since my 'puter at home crashed. It worked!!! Here are some more.
  2. After about 10 years, I've decided to get back into it. These are some models I either started and havent finished yet, or were done and just got beat up floating around in boxes after 2-3 moves. Evidently they are too big. So after I figure out how to resize them I'll post more.
  3. Hello, after a 12 year absence I have decided to get back into models. The first model I wanted to build is of a 1936 Ford humpback sedan. I am building the full size car and thought it would be neat to have a replica. Starting with the Monogram 1:24 1937 Ford slantback sedan and the old 1936 Ford 1:25 coupe/ roadster I have started cutting and whacking but there is sooo much difference in the bodys and the scale difference makes it a pain. I did a breif Google search and didnt find anything but maybe I just dont know where to look. I dont care if its resin or a kit, I'm just looking to same some time and effort. Thanks for any help. Gary Kanel
  4. Yes, I'm sure its Ken Hamilton. Thank you. It absolutly amazes me what many people can do.
  5. Thanks for the WARM reception! I will try tonight to get some pics taken. Its heartbreaking to see some of the cars I spent hours on broken, but I guess they will fix. I have a question. Back when I was building models, I read Scale Auto enthusiast (Can I say that name here?). Anyway there was a guy who was/ is an incredible builder of street rods and anything I guess. He is/was from Springfield MO just like me. Absolutly incredible detail, like sliding seats, etc. He was doing stuff that was unheard of even before the photoetched parts were available. Does this ring a bell with anybody? I would love to look him up. Dont know why I never did before. Thanks.
  6. Hi- just wanted to stop in and say hello. I have decided to get back into modeling after not getting the glue out for about 12 years. I happened to be at an auction and bought a whole stack of vintage Rod and Custom magazines and buried within were several old (60's) Model Car magazines, the little model books, and the big car books of course. On the next table at the auction was a box of built 60's era models. What an auction! Anyway I took it as a sign and got all fired up looking at those old books and playing with the vintage plastic. So out came the old projects from the attic and cleaned off the workbench so here we go! I love the fact there is a forum for modelers now. Shoot last time I glued something together the internet was in its infancy! My favorite type of cars to build are 1/24-25th scale hot rods and kustoms. I have some cars built but got a little beat up being in a box for so long. As time goes by I'll try to post some pics. I look forward to talking models with you all. Gary Kanel
