  1. What do you guys use for bondo on models. I mean to fill gaps, blend parts, fender flares? Example #1; say I want to make a long bed out of a short bed by combining two beds together, how do I make it seemless? Example#2; Say I want to make my own molded fender flares that are part of the body as if I bought a whole fiberglass fender with a built in flare for my 1:1 bronco. Same idea will work for raised hood lines and cowls/scoops. Thanks
  2. OK, I'll post my builds in the "workbench" area first, then the finished in the "under glass" area. Works for me, I just didn't want to post in a mostly 18 wheeler section. I just like clicking through alot of similar stuff to see what others come up with. Thanks for the feedback guys, and glad to be part of the team.
  3. How about making a section just for 4x4's and non street rod pickups. I know of the truck spot, but it's mostly 18 wheelers and such. I think it would be a fun deal, heck I'd even volunteer to moderate it for ya.
  4. It sucks when you get a crappy mold, at least you got new ones. I enjoyed building that model, and thanks for the kind words.
  5. Thanks guys....many more to come!!
  6. WOW, I don't know how you guys do it, but VERY nice work!! Here I am worried about if my kit bash 4x4's tires will fit in the wheel base...LOL. On a second note, wjat do you use for bondo/body forming? I used model puddy back in the early 90's and it took forever to dry and never worked out like I wanted it to.
  7. For sure. I am currently working on a few; 40 ford coupe, flip nose 50's ford truck, mountain goat jeep commando, 91 bigfoot, and a 79 ford 4x4.
  8. Sweet!
  9. My girlfreind used to ask me, why do you have so many models that aren't built, why do you keep buying them if you have un-built ones. My reply is that they are like hotwheels, slot cars, rc cars, or any other collectible....you never know if it is the last one you will see on a shelf. Am I just crazy (probably), or just getting it while the time is right. I know many of us say, man I wish I still had That One, right. Let me know what you think. OH, I almost forgot that I NEED them...LOL.
  10. Looks great! I have that model in the waiting, glad I bought it.
  11. Thanks man!! I used to have that 1:16 chevy 4x4, but mine was the monster truck version....sisters nocked it off the shelf I also had a large scale general lee that my dad and I thought was cool to blow up with M-80's, I was little. I wish I had them now!!!
  12. Very nice 80's stocker!!
  13. The rest Scout-2, also a clone of my old rig Drag cars I built this for a friend at work that went to school with my dad and no longer has his real jeep. I made it look like his old pics of his jeep. I used 72 blazer wheels and made the bikini top from leather I found at a craft store.
  14. Here are all the models that I still have. I have built many, many models as you all have over the years, but they either got lost or broken by my sisters...LOL. I did, however, cling to my General Lee model somehow that I built in the mid 80's. I hope you enjoy my collection. Thanks for looking. These are in random order. I do have a few builds in slow progress. My oldest model, original AMT general lee. Also the one that I fabbed onto one of the new Revell RPM's R/C kits. We raced them in the break room at work, lots of oval track fun! 72 chevy 4x4 kit bash. I cut the 84 gmc innner fenders off the frame, and stretched it about 1/2" and used the running gear. Fall Guy truck. New 84gmc kit with repro decals my friend found on ebay 70's dodge kit bash with 84 gmc running gear. It was like this kit bash was meant to be. Everything fit great. Bronco and monster truck Blazers. Mad mudder, original monogram 70's blazer I got off ebay, and 72 blazer (built ebay find). I got the 72 to kit bash and found that the builder did such a good job, I couldn't bring myself to change it. 79 ford 4x4 repro (still in progress) and clone of one of my old jeep trucks. Jeeps
  15. Very cool!!
