  1. I have the Modelhaus ‘68 conversion kit and an original 68 box, but the ‘68 Chevelle annual is one of the few late 60s AMT annuals I don’t have.
  2. Who knows...just googled and found a pic. A Chevelle w Yenko stripes...
  3. Considering it's been 50 years since the AMT '68 Chevelle has been out, it seems like a good time for a new one. And Chevy stuff always sells well. And I'm sure they are planning multiple variations like they did with the '69 Nova and '69 Camaro...
  4. The Escalade is just a reissue; it was announced previously on the 2nd quarter flyer. The 'New' in parentheses just means a new release, not necessarily a new tool.
  5. Or it’s a new tool they were working on but had not yet announced prior to the events of this past Spring.
  6. Still down, but the Auto World site is still up, though. https://www.autoworldstore.com
  7. I had that happen on my '86 Mustang during a heavy rain storm in the early 90s.
  8. Had the same thought...
  9. Got the Moebius 65 Comet A/FX and 70 Ford F100 4x4 in the mail today...both look good at first glance, though I will probably get larger tires and do a slight lift on the truck (tires are the same as the other F100 releases).
  10. I wonder what the percentages of vehicles sold w/ manuals in the US and drivers that can drive manuals in the US are...got to be at an all-time low. I like manuals, but they seem to be limited to small cars of the lowest trim levels and some performance cars (though many are automatic or cluchless manuals these days)...the kinds of vehicles I like tend to not be available w/ them.
  11. Molded in hood, molded in bottom of engine on chassis, like any other curbside.
  12. 3 have been reissued--Avanti, Mustang, and Ranchero. The Sting Ray is coming next month. 4 left.
  13. Interesting to see the '40 Ford back so soon..they RD'ed it a few years ago...I wonder if this reissue will have different retro box art, since there are many to choose from...
  14. I have the annual, it has a funky camper cap. I also have the MPC '69 w/ fire truck option and the Open Road camper version.
  15. The years I had my Mustang GT and BMW M3 at the same time, I enjoyed them the most on back country Colorado mountain roads...they were less fun in stop and go traffic in Colorado Springs and Denver (at one time around 2000 I think the Springs was considered the most congested US city of it's size for freeway traffic). At one point, I had 3 manuals--then traded the Bronco II on a Jeep w/ an automatic.
  16. One of my favorite pizza places in Chicago when I went there often in the 90s and early 00s was Pizza Capri on Halsted in Lincoln Park (a buddy lived nearby). Looks like it is still there.
  17. I learned to drive a manual in the 80s--in an '84 Ford Escort diesel. Learned basic car control, parallel parking, etc before that, though w/ a couple of my Dad's vehicles w/ automatics---a '79 Dodge Power Wagon pickup (numbest power steering ever?) and an '84 Lincoln Town Car (fun to parallel park). Took my driver's test in the Escort. Drove it in high school and college, and my next 4 cars were all manuals---'86 Mustang LX, '87 Mustang GT, '88 Bronco II, '96 BMW M3..didn't get an automatic until I got my first Grand Cherokee in '00. I do want to get something with a manual again in the next few years, as a weekend fun car..
  18. My sister got autographs of Derek Bell, Jacky Ickx, Mark Webber and Patrick Long at Rennsport Reunion IV at Laguna Seca a few years ago...was great to see them lined up for autographs w/ racing fans..no charge for autographs there.
  19. A lot of the '80s-90s AMT ERTL kit boxes looked like they put the absolute minimum effort into the box art...
  20. The '69 GTX makes sense for it's time, and it based on original Plymouth advertising...
  21. I get it...I have a spare bedroom as a hobby room with a bunch of unbuilt models, and two storage units full of models and die cast.
  22. That first one was a Model King release, some of the early Model King box art was pretty amateurish at best---the '63 Tempest drag car, Cyclone drag car, etc. The 2nd Imperial box art was a RC2 release, more professional.
  23. I guess we will just have to wait and see what releases Revell announces in the future.
  24. Yeah, kind of pointless until Revell announces future product releases...
