  1. Gas prices always seem to go up in the summer, just the way it is, been that way as long as I've been driving.
  2. That's not curbside. The usual definition of curbside is molded-in hood and no engine. The '62 Buick and '65 Grand Prix have a similar construction w/ metal axles and molded in chassis detail, interior tub. They are vintage tooling...
  3. Not a curbside, it has always had an engine...
  4. Since this is not a mission critical corporate site, no one is going to respond on a holiday. Probably just needed a server restart this morning...
  5. Software.. things happen.
  6. Got my copy from Amazon yesterday...did a quick glance at it, looks great.
  7. Opel badged models haven't been sold in the US in around 40 years. What I meant was various Opel-based models have been sold in the US rebadged as Saturns and Buicks over the last decade..the Buick Encore is an Opel Mokka rebadge, the Regal an Insignia rebadge, the Verano was based on an Astra, etc.
  8. I remember those...seems like having that much windshield would have a lot of heat and glare issues.
  9. No. But a version of the Opel Astra was sold here as a Saturn about a decade ago, and various Opels have been sold here as Buicks in the last decade (Regal, Verano, Cascada)
  10. There is a resin '67 Biscayne 4dr sedan under development... re
  11. Yes, big tab hanging from the roof in the SLC. The G-wagen I'll probably do stock or with newer style wheels and tires, maybe make it look more like a modern G-class.
  12. Picked up a few old unbuilt curbside kits off of eBay, interesting subjects..two Monogram Triumphs and two Esci Mercs. Never had an Esci kit before, though I do have some ex-Esci AMT and Revell kits.
  13. As far as today, it would be kits that are reissues of the original early 60s Trophy Series kits.
  14. Interesting...also, the Esci Land Rover was a LWB 2dr, this appears to be a 4dr. Would be fun to have one to do stock...
  15. One thing I do miss about Arizona was the drive on 89/89A from Wickenburg to Flag via Prescott, Jerome and Sedona.. when the traffic was light...great scenery, great curves and little towns. Though I am totally enjoying exploring Ohio after being gone over 20 years..
  16. Could be...for some reason, i thought I read that they had used a fixed length wheelbase, but that was before my time. Not that it really matters in 1/25th scale.
  17. Some of the early Hot Wheels were made in Hong Kong. Don't think they made any in mainland China until much later.
  18. Well, on real ones the wheelbase differed, but in NASCAR there was a specific wheelbase, I think.
  19. Model Roundup has listed for pre-order.
  20. True, can always hope for more '80s-90s subjects. Those can appeal to people a bit older also--those born in the 50s & 60s that drove them back in the day.
  21. Problem with all the oldsters on this forum, there aren't enough of us..
  22. I suspect those guys are tiny, tiny subset of the 30yr old crowd. I know when i was 30, I had no interest in anything like that...modern performance cars of the era is what I was into..(had an '87 Mustang GT and a '96 BMW M3 back then).
