  1. It seems specious at best how any of this is relevant to the AMT '28 Ford. Such a kit subject is pretty much only going to appeal to the 65+ crowd, not younger modelers regardless of their testosterone levels.
  2. '69 was the last year of the AMT kits. There have been resin 1/25th '71,72, and 73 boattails, but no 1/25th scale kits.
  3. Still has the '75 style rear bumper.. did they actually look at a real car..
  4. This sounds like a load of delusional pseudo-science nonsense..you been listening to Alex Jones or something? Or just the usually crabby old fogey drivel...
  5. Ahh...clever. I knew about the logo, didn't make the connection to the company name. Opel models would be nice, esp. late model items like the Insignia wagon..
  6. Or worse---NSU and Borgward fanatics.
  7. It's so tiresome to see the same old, same old old subjects reissued over and over again. There a lot of interesting current cars---heck, even going back 20-30 years-- that would be interesting to see in scale that haven't been done...I can't be the only one interested in cars, trucks, and SUV subjects from this century.. a hobby that is only focused on the past has no future.
  8. The Customer Support department. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/oops/contact-us/
  9. I could see the old brands like AMT, MPC, Lindberg dying off when the older crowd eventually leave the hobby. There is opportunity for new brands to arise that make modern subjects relevant to younger modelers. I'd certainly like to see more modern subjects available--both domestic and import..and beyond the narrow focus of Camaros, Corvettes, etc..
  10. Well, Tom Lowe (Round 2) understands clearly that Baby Boomers and older are his bread and butter, so he's going to ride the reissue gravy train as long as it goes until it hits the end of the line...so it wouldn't surprise me if this gets reissued..
  11. Happy 10th birthday to Ginger (Ginny). Had her since she was 5 months old. 6 lbs of joy.
  12. He should post photos...
  13. The Hydro-Vee kit sounds interesting...I recall reading about it in this thread below. Never seen one, but since I live near Lake Erie now, I see boats all the time.. I wonder what the 'Wild wheels' are in the parts pack? (Not a misspelling of 'Weld wheels'?).
  14. Follow their page and leave a comment under one of their pictures?
  15. Nice..I don't have any of them in promos, but have all the MPC kits.
  16. There is no shortage in car model kits coming out---the Japanese kit companies are going strong w/ new releases. It's just not subject matter than appeals to the older demographic.
  17. Lots of good automotive ones out there...I listen to The Smoking Tire, Tempest, Wheel Bearings, Auto Blog, and Car Stuff. I prefer the audio ones so I can listen during the workday..
  18. Podcasts--audio and video ones-- normally aren't hosted on Youtube..they tend to be hosted on sites like iTunes or Google Play.
  19. Sounds like a good idea. I listen to many podcasts every week--technology focused and automotive related ones mostly.
  20. Plenty of Revell and Monogram kits in my stash, so I don't really need any more. I did buy the recent '53 Chevy reissue--never had one, and the '94 Impala SS reissue--have some ideas for another build of that kit.
  21. 'late May' is what is listed on Model Roundup, so coming soon, sounds like.
  22. 47, been building off and on since age 5 (started w/ snap kits).
  23. Very sharp...I like them w/ the red interior trim. I'm thinking I need one equipped similarly to that for my next fun car..
