  1. Still hoping they do an SM.
  2. Nice weather today.. saw a sharp gray-green w/ black top '72 Pontiac Grand Ville 2dr ht. Very clean and shiny, w/ Pontiac Rally II mags. Right next to it at the light was a bright red w/ black wheels, black stripes C7 Z06.
  3. Way cool...
  4. I think I've used Irfanview in the past, but looks like it is Windows only.
  5. Sounds like Ford's decisions may be driven by appeasing investors demanding more ROI... https://jalopnik.com/three-thoughts-on-fords-decision-to-kill-its-small-cars-1825577563 https://jalopnik.com/a-car-for-every-purse-and-purpose-gives-way-to-maximize-1825595023
  6. Actually, the manual in the Mustang is made by the German firm Getrag. It's pretty normal today for automakers to source components like transmissions from outside suppliers. My Detroit-built Jeep has a ZF transmission, for example.
  7. I only have maybe a dozen Heller kits out of the thousands of kits in my stash...still sad to see a kit company going under...
  8. Better than the previous Ranger...it was ancient when it was finally discontinued...
  9. I've been driving SUVs for almost 25 years, never paid much attention to gas prices. My new Jeep does get better mileage than my old one did, despite being heavier and having 100 hp more.
  10. Sedan sales have been slumping for a while now, CUV sales in all size categories has been where the market growth has been in recent years, trucks and SUVs remain strong...Ford definitely seems to be reacting to the market.
  11. Taurus sales are down 29% year to date, only 2500 in March. It it's a pretty old platform, so no surprise it's getting cancelled. GM is planning to kill the Impala soon also, I've read.
  12. Jalopnik has an article, also saw it on several Facebook car pages.
  13. Those will still be built for markets in Europe, Asia, etc. This is just the US market changes. Trucks, CUVs, SUVs and the Mustang for the US.
  14. Few things dumber than fake patina, IMO. I'm not a fan of rust, but I can appreciate if it is there legitimately like on an unrestored survivor...
  15. Again, the new IMC company (no relation to the old IMC) was planning to reissue the '75 Cutlass and another Johan tool. Obviously, going by your posts, the name confused a lot of people.
  16. The new IMC had nothing to do with the old one. Coincidence only in the name, the acronym was for 'Illinois Model Company'.. and there were multiple threads. Here is one
  17. 30 days and $3000 is an inherently false scenario, though. Unrealistic timeline and budget...where does the labor cost figure in?
  18. One of the principals died, never got off the ground is what I read. There is a thread or two about it around here.
  19. Hot Rods aren't my thing, I much prefer 60s and newer cars, but Instead of the rusty rat junk, I find hot rods built by Steve Moal's company much more interesting...actual craftsmanship.
  20. Without anything factual from the new owners, though, anything posted here is just pointless speculation. it's best to wait and see what they announce.
  21. This was covered about 7 weeks ago...
  22. Saw a '72-73 Dodge D-series pickup in traffic this afternoon, longbed, orange w/ a cap and white Dodge script on the tailgate. Solid shape, paint faded.. also saw a very clean dark red '77-79 Continental 4dr.
  23. My yard guys came today, did the first mowing of the season...saw a bunch of people mowing on my street today..but the lawn wasn't really very high yet. 75 and sunny, went out for a drive w/ with the windows down and sunroof open. Should have gone to the beach today, went Saturday up the coast to a few beaches, was only in the 50s and overcast but enjoyed it.
  24. Given the current situation w/ Revell, I wonder if this will be delayed.
  25. My house was built in 1967. I'm in the process of doing some home automation and modernization--I can control the alarm system, thermostat, surveillance cameras, etc all from phone apps. Next will probably be some of the Hue smart lights for some rooms. Not sure if I will need an internet-connected toilet, stove, fridge, etc, though.
