  1. I've found the Spotlight Hobbies boxes to be a bit flimsy. For sturdy boxes to store kits and promos that don't have their original boxes, I use the 550 count sports card storage boxes. Very sturdy.
  2. Well, you can just type in the site name and get there.... www.modelroundup.com
  3. It's right there, on the top left if you go to New Arrivals. http://www.modelroundup.com/category-s/42.htm
  4. Saw a Model A hot rod this morning. Red, 70s style. 5 window, no chop, big and littles w chrome wheels. No hood. Rolling down the street, looked like an alien craft amidst the CUVs and Kias.
  5. It is..I just created one.
  6. Random thing I stumbled across while perusing the Scalemates database tonight--1/25th armor kits are a thing. I know very little about armor/military models, but Academy, Tamiya and others have made tanks in 1/25th. Not 1/24th, but 1/25th...surprised, didn't know that such subjects were kitted in that scale.
  7. I tend to be fact based and skeptical, only believing things based in reality and hard science, but have long found UFOs and such stories entertaining. I remember a TV show based on project Blue Book when I was a kid in the 70s. I was also a big fan of the X-Files.
  8. Since kits like the Impala SS are reissues, I already know from the original issue what to expect in the box.
  9. If you try and add to cart, it says 'Out of Stock'.
  10. The truth is out there. ...it's just not public information yet. All will be revealed in due time.
  11. With a subject like the Revell '30 Ford I can see looking past any perceived innaccuracies since it represents a custom (i.e. fake) subject, not an actual production vehicle.
  12. "accuracy enthusiast" Since these are customs, not sure how the accuracy would be determined. Now the accuracy of a kit of an actual stock Model A could be determined, obviously.
  13. The other problem with that is the LTD is body on frame, while the Mopar C-bodies were unibody. Totally different architecture.
  14. That's like my daily driver, moves quite well for a 5000lb SUV. Been very happy with it.
  15. I like the stepside in the background in that ad..would like to build one like that...or a crew cab 4x4...
  16. That's why I ordered a few Revell kits on Friday from my favorite online vendor (Model Roundup) and a few eBay sellers..who knows what will happen once they go out of stock, and when they will be back in stock...knocked a few items off my 2018 to-buy list...
  17. I've had a few in 30+ years of driving..the '80s vintage Ford 5.0, an '80s Mercedes 5.0, and a Cadillac Northstar. My current Jeep has the 3.6 V6, down the road wouldn't mind having something w/ the modern Hemi, either a Challenger, Charger or a GC w/ the V8.
  18. Got my April HLJ shipment (mostly Hasegawa and Fujimi reissues), and a few Revells--an extra '50 Olds for a resin conversion, extra '69 Charger Daytona (want to build one w/ a Hellcat engine), and an extra Dodge Ram VTS (want to use a modern Hemi in it). A couple days ago got the recent reissues of the '53 Chevy (never had that ex-Monogram kit) , the '94 Impala SS (extra for parts for a resin kit), and an extra '66 Suburban.
  19. I remember once listening to him while driving through the night across the high desert of New Mexico while driving from Colorado Springs to Phoenix.. keep me awake.
  20. Cool...yeah, I remember that..
  21. Saw one of the '14-15 Camaro Z/28s in white blasting along the 480 freeway in the rain at about 5am this morning.. haven't seen very many of those.
  22. I do plan to check out Mindhunter.
  23. As a long time fan of Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch LAPD detective novels, I've been a fan of the 'Bosch' series that streams on Amazon...now in it's 4th season. I binge watched the 10 episodes over the past weekend since it was rainy and cold outside; it became available last Friday. I love how Michael Connelly uses LA environments so effectively in his novels and the TV series. Great characters and stories. Other than the 'Breaking Bad' prequel 'Better Call Saul', its about the only US TV show I really like currently. One American crime drama from a few years ago that I really liked also was 'Southland'. I also watch a lot of British and Scandinavian crime shows/police procedural series. I recently binge watched on the MhZ streaming service the Swedish cop series 'Beck'---6 seasons over 20 years.. great show, great characters. I also like 'The Bridge'--the Danish/Swedish crime drama, along with many British crime dramas and detective shows like "Waking the Dead', 'Touching Evil', 'Unforgotten', 'Broadchurch', 'Inspector Morse' and it's prequel 'Endeavour', 'Prime Suspect', 'Hinterland', and 'George Gently'. I get these through Amazon Prime, Acorn, Hulu and other streaming services. Not sure why, but I've long had a fascination w/ crime dramas...going back to watching 'Police Story' as a kid in the 70s, and the movies of Michael Mann like 'Manhunter', 'Heat', and 'Collateral'..
