  1. Yeah, just marketing like the Coke kits....they could slap Snake and Mongoose logos on the '69 Charger box and it would sell...
  2. Would be fun to build something like that in 1/25th...
  3. 'PM sent' is the standard response for private transactions. Signaling they will conduct their business with the seller/sender via private message.
  4. I love the '67-68 Cougars (folks had 3 of them when I was growing up). I have 2 each of the AMT '67 and '68 annuals along w/ a Modelhaus resin, but would love to see a new tool one..esp. w/ variations like a Trans Am series race car and a '68 GT-E, '68 XR-7G, etc... Speaking of Cougar kits, I wonder what ever happened to the MPC '70 tooling..never reissued AFAIK..
  5. Since the next issue will actually be a modified reissue w/ different box art, different engine, etc, I would expect the original issue will only increase in value.
  6. Don't think I could manage people..I'm too much of a technical guy focused on projects and systems..I could do project management, though.. My work does require getting statuses from other developers and assigning them tasks, but I'm not their supervisor or manager (more a technical lead/architect of a team).
  7. Good point...might look good next to a garden gnome or miniature lighthouse (I want to get one of those for my backyard, maybe a couple--love the Great Lakes lighthouses)...
  8. I remember those, never had any..were these reboxes of someone else's tooling? (Airfix?)
  9. Another forum I'm on did an update recently, same Invision software it looks like. And some of the same bugs. One I've noticed is the auto follow behavior--if I post a comment, I'm automatically following that thread and get notifications. But if I want to turn off the following of that thread, the thread doesn't show that I'm following at the top right of the thread--it shows the Follow button. If I want to unfollow, I have to follow then unfollow. Awkward.
  10. I'll have to dig through my stash this weekend to see what stinkers I have...for a recent kit, it's hard to beat the new Revell '76 Torino box art..
  11. I've bought a couple items from that seller, I think they are what used to be AF/X-N-Scale Resin, their listed items definitely look like their products. I got the '69 Mustang coupe back when it was AF/X about 10 years aog.
  12. It's not 1957, and presumably, you aren't 10..
  13. Well, it does sound like something a 10 yr old would have said in 1957..
  14. Wow..that makes Palmer kits look accurate..it's kind of a folk art representation of a car..
  15. Heheh. That's my little guy Beardsley.
  16. Yeah, have to remember at one time the target audience of most models was kids, esp. the Snap Tites..hence the bright colors and flash. I remember liking building them as a kid.
  17. IIRC that's what the pic of the new box art showed... switching the parts around, so it's not a straight reissue...
  18. I have the original '60s issue versions of the Revell 1/32nd snap kits..much better artwork on those versions.
  19. Another odd thing about the Land Rover boxart--the font for Land Rover reminds me of one of AMT's late 60s 'hippie' theme kits. Just seems at odds w the rest of the theme.
  20. One of applications I use at work has a similar avatar for the default...about 1/2 the users change their pic, and the rest show up as these 'generic resource units'...
  21. It is fascinating the path USPS packages can take..bought something on eBay a few days ago..was in Baltic, Oh (a small town about 75 miles from me)...it went from there to Columbus, then to Cleveland, then to Akron, then back to Cleveland, and today it got to my post office in Independence.
  22. They are coming back, in modified versions..the '29 roadster is coming first...sounds like it gets the engine from the '30. A photo of the box art for the '29 was posted somewhere here a while back, black w/ flames or scallops...
  23. Yes, not just on forum software..pretty standard on mobile apps also...gmail on my iPhone and iPad works that way also.
  24. Greenlight generally doesn't have opening hoods on their 1/24th die cast.
  25. I've bought a bunch of parts from Fireball, excellent quality and top notch service. I got a set each of those Mopar wheel covers a while back...I think I'll use the 121s on a '69 Coronet wagon or '70 Coronet 4dr sedan, and the 123s on a base '68 Charger.
