  1. Or get a stock Monogram Corvette and cut it apart and insert the extension, making a Corvette America..
  2. The Corvette America is a fascinating oddity..I picked up a mint unbuilt one for less than $50 last year.
  3. Yes, it's been the standard scale for F1 kits for over 50 years...
  4. It's now a flashing red ring.
  5. The front looks odd, like the headlights are too recessed or too small. And the hubcaps stick out way too far, white walls are oversized, just a strange beast all around.
  6. Very cool..didn't Tamiya make a rally version? I haven't watched the newest version of the show since Edd left..will have to watch some, though.
  7. Another naming oddity I recall was the MPC '77-78 Monaco kits never said Monaco on the box..only 'Dodge Sport'. and I don't recall the police car variations ever mentioning Monaco either.
  8. Another error w that box is 'Chrysler Imperial'. Imperials of that era were Imperials, not Chryslers.
  9. Well, the Bonneville was reissued after this kit at least once or twice...not sure if they had a separate body tool or what..
  10. Some of those early MK issue kits had really amateurish box art.
  11. Box art sells kits to normals/casual modelers. In today's world where most everything about upcoming kit releases is known and discussed on the internet well in advance of release, I hardly even notice the box art since I already know what I'm getting. Or maybe I'm just jaded.
  12. That whole series of kits had some groaners...hideous prismatic stickers, ugly custom parts, etc..
  13. I don't see anything wrong with that box art. Clean, simple graphics, a photo of a built kit without a distracting background, and a description. And no nonsense like 'Streetburner' or 'California Wheels'.
  14. I think the round avatars are a standard or default feature of the latest version of the forum software. A couple other forums I'm on that use the same software are now showing round avatars.
  15. The avatars were square previously. Round now, like on Facebook...cool.
  16. Odd..I still see it, but it says 'Unread Content' now.
  17. It's still there, now says 'Unread Content'...same functionality.
  18. Good to hear..I visit the site on my phone and tablet more often than on my laptop...
  19. I saw that message also on Safari (on both my Mac and iPhone) but it went away after logging in. Site looks fine, haven't seen any other glitches.
  20. One of these kits, may have been the Challenger, had great box art language, something to the effect that 'the large V8 motor vibrates the driver's bowels'..
  21. The THW version was reissued in the last 10 years, I got that version (molded in bright blue). The snow plow version looks like it would be fun to have.
  22. Seems like just a standard highway department snow plow truck...probably in use all over Germany (modern ones today, the Revell kit is about 30 years old). On trips to Europe I've seen M-B trucks in a variety of commercial uses..pretty common, nothing special. Not something in use the US or Canada (though some have been imported over the years as used vehicles).
  23. Revell doesn't have a Dodge Ram kit tool other than the old VTS show truck from the 90s. They are simply reissuing what they have.
  24. Had a very relaxing, pleasant Friday...had the day off, great weather (50 and sunny), so I went out to the Lake Erie Coast..didn't do any Black Friday shopping other than buying some wine and gifts at a couple wineries out on Catawba Island and Marblehead Peninsula. Saw a few lighthouses and walked along some beaches...
  25. True multitasking requires a multi core CPU or multiple CPUs, so tasks can be run in parallel.
