  1. Factoid--I read that in Canada GM had a brand called Asuna (spelled with umlauts over the u!) that was similar to Geo. They got a version of the 2nd gen Isuzu Impulse called the Asuna Sunfire. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asüna
  2. Off by a year again. The last year of the BOF Imperial was '66. '67 was a unibody C-body.
  3. Ok..I have the '04 reissue but haven't built it..I did build the Countdown one..but that was a looooong time ago. Also found a built original issue a few years ago on eBay.
  4. Sounds familiar...I think I've seen B&W pics of it..
  5. One thing that really annoys me is some streaming programs (not live) won't let you fast forward through the ads... though most of what I watch doesn't have ads, some does. About the only thing I watch live are NFL games and motorsports.. the TV shows I like are all streaming only, cable, or UK with a couple exceptions.
  6. It's sad..all the guys of my generation are aging out... I'm going to miss them... a lot of them I've been following for 20+ years.
  7. I used them a bit this past February after I closed on the house (didn't finish my move in fully until June). It was weird using them, I hadn't shoveled snow in 30 years since I was a teenager..
  8. Had my '14 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 since late March, finally cleared enough space in my garage for it, in time for winter.
  9. IIRC, the previous reissues of the '66 Merc didn't have the wrist twist thingy..or I didn't notice it. The 'Countdown Series' issue was one of the first AMT kits I built as a kid.
  10. The double pinstripe tire pack sounds interesting..not familiar w/ what those are. Not sure if I need any of the reissues, maybe the Cutlass 442. Have at least 3 different issues each of the '40 Ford sedan, '70 Corvette and '66 Mercury already....
  11. I like that they are based in Denver. Good to see a small team win.
  12. I'd assume it was the other way around, that the Geo was developed from the Isuzu. The original Piazza and Gemini of that era were on the T-car platform, as was the Chevette and many other models.
  13. Looking forward to the 65-66 F100 and '70 F 4x4...will be interesting to see what they do in the future...a series of '67-72 Chevy or GMC pickups would be nice, as would a '61-71 Dodge pickup. Also, vintage SUVs would be really nice to see...maybe something like a '60s Wagoneer or mid 70s Cherokee Chief...
  14. The 2nd generation Piazza/Impulse would be interesting to see, never kitted that I know of.
  15. A particular kit that I know has a jack like that is the MPC Dodge Lil Red Express pickup. Other MPC Dodge truck kits of that era may have them also.
  16. After all the wind over the last 24 hours, my front yard and driveway are covered in leaves...and now snow..
  17. First snow of the season...not much so far, but starting to stick...after heavy rain yesterday and last night..supposed to be back in the 40s the next few days, though.
  18. The modernish tool Edsel came out 18 years ago, last century. Not 'new'.
  19. Well, Round 2 certainly has Goodyear licensing, so...
  20. Got my set today. They look good. Either going to go on a Challenger or Coronet.
  21. I got a set of resin Dodge 'volcano' hubcaps from eBay in the mail today. Nice parts from Michael Kroeger of Germany.
  22. I think I want to do one in brown..because brown is such a great Porsche color...
  23. Nah, I'll keep the original engine...440, I think.. I have a resin one w/ opening hood I got last year. That one will get a Hemi and Magnum 500 wheels, I think.
  24. Got this restorable Jo-Han '65 Chrysler 300 from eBay. Pretty good shape..paint are decent, missing on the air cleaner and carb. Interior dusty. It should go well with the restorable convertible and resin ht I got last year... still have a few 300 gaps in my stash--no '66s or '63-64hts.
  25. I can see getting maybe 3 of these...stock 442, FE3-X, and a plain Cutlass using resin wire wheel covers and whitewall tires.
