  1. Tower Hobbies has the Edsel listed for $29.99 as a Jan release..I wonder if they will do it as a 2n1 with the stock + custom version parts. IIRC, the custom version only differed in the addition of fender skirts and a continental kit. I have one of the stock ones from the original issue, never built it.
  2. And in and around Sedona there are a lot of traffic rotaries to get stuck in... the traffic is awful there on high season weekends. I love the drive on 89 through Oak Creek Canyon and Jerome to Prescott...and then 89 & 93 on down to Wickenburg. Great driving road..very scenic.
  3. A '69 Boss 429 would be a nice followup. Would require a new engine, new hood, and the body with the side scoops...
  4. That one was so wrong on so many levels..
  5. Saw a rainbow while driving out of my neighborhood...love the fall weather, windy, cool, sunny w light showers...
  6. And that error was also present in the mid 80s MPC-branded release of the kit also..
  7. Yeah, wasn't a problem...got new tires installed last week, glad I checked the sensors before I left the lot. They had way over-inflated one tire--the left front was reading 75 and all the others were reading 40...had them reset the air pressure in all the tires before leaving...
  8. Neat, something different...makes me wonder if there were any Beetle-based Cobra-style kit cars made..there were so many different Beetle-based kit cars made..
  9. Got a laugh at the pet supply store when I saw they have Pumpkin Spice dog treats for Fall...
  10. Surprise is a sprawling suburb now.....according to Wikipedia, the population was 30,848 at the 2000 census; however, rapid expansion has boosted the city's population to 117,517 at the 2010 census, an increase of 281%. I know some people out there, seems too far out from Central Phoenix for me..when I lived in Phoenix, I was more a fan of downtown and central Phoenix and the near East Valley burbs like Scottsdale and Tempe, worked in both for years, lots of good restaurants and stuff to do in them...
  11. When I lived in Phoenix I used to do weekend drives up through Prescott, Sedona, Jerome and Oak Creek Canyon to Flagstaff. With side trips sometimes out to Williams and Winslow. Very scenic up in northern AZ...
  12. I get a lot of those..same CO area code and prefix as my cell. They never leave a message. I block the number, another appears in a few days.
  13. Got a few things in the mail today...the MPC Datsun pickup reissue, Harts Parts resin '71 Challenger R/T conversion parts (for the AMT '70), a Motor City Resin '72 Gran Torino Sport 2dr notchback, and a resin '69 Dodge Coronet R/T body and bumpers, plan to use it with the internals from a MPC '70 Coronet.
  14. New body also, since the Boss 302 doesn't have the faux side scoops that the Mach 1 had in '69.
  15. https://www.autoworldstore.com/category_s/3.htm
  16. Took a drive along the Lake Erie coast yesterday afternoon, beautiful day...saw a white late model Jeep Wrangler in my rear view mirror with a modified grille that spelled out 'OHIO' (which read OIHO in the mirror). Also saw a clean red '75 Cutlass coupe on a small town used car lot.
  17. '62-65 Lincoln 4dr sedans were kitted along with the convertibles.
  18. I would assume yet another reissue of the convertible. The sedan tooling is presumably gone.
  19. Both are sharp...great color choices...any more pics of the F&F one?
  20. Hmmm...the '69 Mach 1 kit with a new engine, body, decals, etc? Or a typo?
  21. IIRC, that monstrosity is two 70s Mercedes E-class wagons fused together with a ton o' crud added on. Can see the Mercedes wheel on the left front.
  22. Your comments were political, though. Who knows why AMT did that particular kit 40 years ago.
  23. Cool... I saw an older Suburban painted in Browns colors downtown a while back.
  24. My local tire chain advertises TPMS reset as part of the installation...getting new tires for my Jeep before winter..
  25. Yes. The first was a 77 Volare, then they issued 77, 78 and 79 kits with Road Runner box art and decals. Then oddly the 1980 was just called Fuzz Duster with no mention of Volare or Road Runner.
