  1. Nice promo. I have a virtually identical one..
  2. Been a few times over the last few weeks...though a lot of things I've ordered from Home Depot's website and had delivered, as well as from Amazon and others. I've found some really skilled local home improvement guys for it, though. I'm writing the checks, not doing the work...
  3. I have multiple remodeling projects going on currently in and around my 'new' 1967 split-level house, one of them wrapped up today--new floor tile in the tv room--porcelain tile that resembles destressed barn wood. Love the look. Got to get the furniture arranged, book shelves installed, art on the walls and re-arrange the home theatre equipment. Have a patio roof re-roofing, inside lighting, and shed restoration projects ongoing. More projects before winter include fence repairs, tree pruning, and maybe a new front door.
  4. Walked out my front door a couple hours ago and heard a car start up down the street, classic muscle car rumble...turned and looked to see a gorgeous black w/ red stripes '69 Mustang Mach 1 pulling away from the curb, pulling into a driveway, backing out then driving away...
  5. Ah...Saturday..I thought it was going to be Sunday the 8th. Darn.
  6. '40 Ford standard coupe, '40 De Luxe convertible. Stock and hot rod versions of each were made. Most have been reissued 1 or more times.
  7. In a year or two, they will probably reissue the '70 with parts from both versions (stock and F&F) and call it a 'Special Edition'....
  8. The truck had either a horn ring or under the center padding...didn't realize Mopar had a Rim-Blo steering wheel, only place I'd seen those were on Mustang Mach1s.
  9. The plain S83 steering wheel on the far right reminds me of '70s Dodge pickup steering wheels...IIRC, the '79 Power Wagon I learned to drive in had one similar to that..
  10. I've got plans to do one with the 440 and Rally wheels from a spare AMT '71 Charger I have. And a Hemi one using Missing Link steelies & dog dish hubcaps on AMT RWL tires.
  11. Been on a Gran Torino kick lately, got some Greenlight 1/43rd decants this past week--the Starsky & Hutch '76, Big Lebowski's Dude's '73, F&F '72, and a stock '72 (painted like Clint's in Gran Torino).
  12. Heh-heh...I got the Greenlight 1/43rd BB Aztek a while back, neat little model.
  13. Sharp..
  14. Fun place..tried to go an as many ABC stores as I could around Honolulu... traffic in Honolulu was heavy. Enjoyed the food and scenery...been a couple times, only to Oahu...need to go back and visit the other islands.
  15. October is what I've read; Tower Hobbies and Model Roundup both show it as an October release.
  16. Looking good..what source did you use for chassis, wheels & tires? Would something like the Ford Louisville be a good starting point?
  17. They have been discussed countless times in many threads here, no point in repeating it. If you search on AAR Cuda, I'm sure you can find the past threads. In short, both of the 1/24th scale '70 AARs suffer from inaccurate roofline/side window shapes and proportions and other issues.
  18. I think that was just a rumor without substance....given that they have done an AAR twice previously (both with issues), I can't imagine they will try a third time. Would be nice, but I don't see it happening.
  19. I would think that the 318 and 360 of that era would be indistinguishable in scale.
  20. I lived in the Florida Keys for 6 years in the 80s...remember evacuating several times for hurricanes...beautiful place.
  21. Lots of parts swap possibilities. I can see putting on the Rallye wheels from the '70 Cuda, a 440 from an AMT '69 GTX, etc....I have '70 style dog dishes, steelies and AMT white letter tires I want to use on one. Maybe the '70 Polara hubcaps I got from FMW. I've been trying to find a photo of a base '70 rear end--I assume the trim between the taillights is different on a base Charger than the R/T?
  22. I always use gloves for modeling or anything around the house where I can get potentially grubby. I like clean nails, and got to protect my moneymakers...(since I am a software engineer, I do spend a lot of time typing on a computer keyboard)..
  23. I've used PayPal for at least 15 years with no problems. I've had a few eBay (and resin caster orders) that never arrived and got refunds. After 15+ years and thousands of transactions--both US and abroad, I'm confident in using them. Definitely wouldn't go back to old-time 20th century ways of paying like money orders or checks. I recently had a problem with a resin caster in Canada and was able to file a claim and get a refund through PayPal pretty painlessly.
  24. Imagine if someone made cheap copies of Palmer kits, at lower quality...I'm sure they would sell if they were cheap.
